CHILD DEDICATION: God can never be too late — Pst. & Evang. Ukulor

updated 24 Jun, 2024

It was a fulfilling day for Pastor Raphael and Evangelist Marvellous Ukulor as the couple from Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State successfully dedicated their infant son, Gideon Timidubamenewei Patrick, with a charge from them to expectant parents to be patient as "God can never be too late" in blessing them with the fruit of the womb.

The child dedication ceremony which held at the Eagle Wings Gospel Church International in the Udu area of the state under the leadership of Pastor Marvel Zibimoghan, was attended by family members, friends and other well-wishers on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

Speaking to PENGlobal Social on the essence of their child dedication, the couple used the opportunity to also thank God for the success of the ceremony as well as appreciated the General Overseer and everyone who made out time to attend the child dedication ceremony.

"We thank God for making such a day as this possible in our lives. The dedication of our child is putting him in the Hands of God, so that God who is the owner will take care of the child, protect him anywhere he goes and lead him, from now till his old age," said Pastor Ukulor.

Speaking further he said, "We feel happy that my family and other well-wishers came to join me and my immediate family to celebrate with our baby boy. May God bless them all.

"I also really appreciate my senior pastor, the General Overseer, Pastor Marvel Zibimoghan, for how he is building the younger generation. I am one of the many persons benefitting from his leadership in ministry. Growing under him is a privilege and I therefore use this medium to call on lovers of God's work to sow into the building project of the church," he appealed.

On the role of parenting, the father of six children stated that, "It is God that takes care of children but physically as a father, the most important thing is to nurture and correct them; bring them up in the fear of God, show them the love of God, teach them and bring them together," he admonished.

On her part, Evang. Ukulor, mother of the infant son, charged women especially those expecting the fruit of the womb to remain faithful and to trust God to do great things in their lives.

"Expectant mothers should not give up. They should continue to put in their best and God will make all things possible for them. And I pray to God Almighty for as many that are looking for the fruit of the womb, the Lord God Almighty should bless them to carry their own children, as God said that none shall be barren in the land; barrenness is not God's plan for anyone," she added.

Highlights of the child dedication include prayers by Pastor Zibimoghan on the infant child, the couple and their family.
