89TH NIGERIAN ARMY RECRUITMENT: Take advantage of exercise — GYC urges Gbaramatu youths

The Gbaramatu Youth Development Association, popularly known as the Gbaramatu Youth Council, GYC, has urged vibrant and determined youths in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, to take advantage of the ongoing 89th Nigerian Army recruitment exercise.
In a recent statement signed by its President, Mr. Egbejule Arerebo Kingsley, the GYC said the current recruitment exercise affords youths in the kingdom the golden opportunity "to build a secure career, acquire professional training, and serve our great nation with pride and purpose."
Mr. Egbejule, who decried the low turnout of youths from the kingdom, urged them to take the bold step toward a brighter future, while stressing further that "Let’s build a stronger Gbaramatu Kingdom—one youth at a time!"
The umbrella body of youths in its statement released the general guidelines for registration and said that upon successful registration, applicants from the kingdom should contact the office of the Secretary of the GYC on 08071555961 and 09034516500 for proper documentation and follow up procedures.
The general requirements for application are: (1) Citizenship & Status: Applicants must be single and a Nigerian citizen by birth. (2) Identification: Must possess a National Identity Number (NIN) and a Bank Verification Number (BVN) printout. (3) Health: Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army standards. (4) Criminal Record: Must be free of any criminal conviction by a court of law. (5) Age Requirements: • Non-trades men / women: 18 to 22 years old. • Tradesmen / women: Not more than 26 years old by 30th June 2025.
Others are: (6) Height Requirements: • Male applicants: Not less than 1.68 metres tall. • Female applicants: Not less than 1.65 metres tall. (7) Educational Qualifications: Minimum of 4 passes, including English Language in not more than two sittings in WASSCE / GCE / NECO / NABTEB / NBAIS. (8) Other Documents: • Valid birth certificate (from National Population Commission, hospital, or local government) or court-declared age. • Valid certificate of state of origin.
