WARRI SOUTH-WEST: Ekpemupolo Commends Oromoni, Receives Supplementary Budget

The House leader of the Legislative arm in the Warri South-West Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Samuel Ekpemupolo, has commended the Hon. Sylvester Oromoni-led executive leadership of the Council for its proactive approach to meeting the needs of the people.

Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo gave the commendation when he received from the Executive Chairman a supplementary budget during a formal session that held in the legislative chambers at the council's headquarters, Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

The supplementary budget by the executive arm which covers additional expenditures that were not captured in the financial estimates of the Council for the year, was witnessed by councilors, traditional leaders, and other stakeholders.

Hon. Samuel Ekpemupolo noted that the supplementary budget, necessitated by the growing demand for public services and infrastructure in the constituency, demonstrated the Hon. Oromoni determination to deliver on its mandate and assured of its speedy and diligent review.

He said, "The legislative arm is ready to review the supplementary budget with the necessary diligence, ensuring it aligns with the overall goal of improving the lives of the citizens of Warri South-West."

Earlier, during the presentation of the supplementary budget, Hon. Oromoni informed the legislative arm of the importance of the supplementary budget that is aimed at addressing urgent developmental projects within the constituency areas of the local government.

He assured that the budget "will ensure the continuity of key projects, particularly in areas of infrastructure, healthcare, and education, which are crucial for the growth and wellbeing of our communities."

Stakeholders, in their optimism of the supplementary budget, said that the budget will positively impact the local communities in the constituency and affirmed their confidence in the Council's leadership.
