INAUGURATION: Pst. Tortor Lists 6-Point Agenda as Benikrukru New Exco Takes on Leadership
The newly inaugurated Executive Council of Benikrukru Community have disclosed its vision and goals as captured in a 6-point agenda towards fast tracking the development and growth of the oil-rich riverine community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
This was disclosed by the newly elected Chairman, Pastor Blessing Tortor, while presenting his acceptance speech at the handover and inauguration ceremony which held in the Oboro Ultra Modern Playground on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Members of the executives that were also inaugurated are Mr. Raphael Pubowei (Vice Chairman), Mr. Kingsley Gbenewei (General Secretary), Engr. Garry Izoukumor Wuruyai (Assistant Secretary), Engr. Columbus Iselemobowei Azor (Public Relations Officer), Mr. Tareke Robert Olufemi (Assistant Public Relations Officer), Mr. Monday Orugbo (Financial Secretary), Mrs.Fellakumor Ojogun Blessing Natasha (Treasurer), Mr. Jacob Ebiebi (Organizing Secretary), Miss Joy Okito (Welfare Officer), Mr Etuemi Imeleye (Chief Whip), and Mr. Matthew Febaide (Internal Auditor).
Top dignitaries in attendance include the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi; the Bolowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Chief (Dr.) Wellington Okirika CON (JP); the Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief Amb. Godspower Gbenekama (JP) Ph.D, among other high profile guests.

According to Pst. Tortor, the 6-point agenda include safeguarding the territory of Benikrukru community, providing an investor-friendly environment to attract investments, to strategically engage with stakeholders to foster peace, unity and sustainable development.
Others are; to advance the educational values, to maintain existing infrastructures, and to initiate infrastructural development through consultative engagement with community stakeholders.
Pst. Tortor who thanked God for making his leadership a possibility, however appeal to fellow contestants and other members of the community to support his led administration in order "to take our dear community to greater heights".
The newly elected chairman, on behalf of other exco members thanked the Pere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba; as well as hail Mr. Matthew and Dcns. (Mrs.) Esther Tonlagha for their philanthropic acts that have contributed towards driving "the upliftment and development of our people" and the Tantita MD, Chief Pondi, who is the chairman of the occasion.
He also appreciated stakeholders such as Chief and Mrs. Godwin Olufemi, Chief Joseph Wuruyai, Chief and Chief (Mrs.) Jeffrey Ojogun, Engr. Jimmy Ogida, Engr. Michael Tonlagha, Boan. Solomon Eris, Sir Victor Tonlagha, Dcn. Prince Isaiah Gbenekama, Hon. (Mrs.) Fanty Oweitorufa, Madam Funmilayo Okoro, Madam Queen Ifitimor among others.
Lastly, he commended the outgone Comr. Joel Tonjoh-led exco "for their developmental strides" while he promised "to build on the foundation which previous administrations have laid".
Other major highlights include the swearing-in of the newly inaugurated exco members and the presentation of certificates to them.
