PA CLARK: IPF pays condolence visit, says death has created leadership vacuum

The Ijaw Publishers' Forum (IPF) has paid a condolence visit to the Delta State residence in Warri of the late elder statesman, Chief Dr. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, who passed away on Monday night in Abuja.
The condolence visit was led by the Forum's National President, Comrade Ozobo Austin, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
During the visit, Comrade Ozobo, in his heartfelt condolence speech, described the late Pa. Clark's demise as a loss that is "irreparable" and noted that the Ijaw national leader and convener of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) was held in high esteem by the Niger Delta, Ijaw nation and the publishing fraternity.
Speaking further, he emphasised that the late Ijaw national leader and elder statesman played a significant role in promoting the cause of the Niger Delta region and advocating for its development.
The IPF also described Pa Clark as the last voice standing that has bowed to the supreme call, lamenting that his death has created a leadership vacuum in the Ijaw nation and Niger Delta region at large.
While expressing deep condolences, IPF said Clark died at a time his fatherly advice and experience were needed the most to guide the liberation movement of Ijaw people and Niger Delta.
The IPF prayed to God Almighty to grant Pa Clark's family, the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta region the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Other members of the Forum present are the Assistant Secretary, Mr Perez Bibaikefe and publisher of Iduwinvoice; the Financial Secretary, Mr Mike Ugedi and publisher of Delta Event. Also in attendance is a woman leader, Ejiro Mesahrun Bobo.
