GBARAMATU: Comr. Timiyan-led Former NAGS Exco Set New Record, Gift Student Union Official Website

The official website of the National Association of Gbaramatu Students, NAGS, the umbrella body of students in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West council area of Delta State, has been unveiled, along with its domain address: www.nags.com.ng for access.

The official unveiling of the website took place at the secretariat of the defunct Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, EGCDF, in Warri, during the NAGS congress held on Saturday, August 19, 2023.

The website, designed by Mr. Ubebe Raphael, a former Secretary-General of NAGS, was gifted and unveiled to the student union body on behalf of the immediate-past Comr. Doubra Timiyan-led executives.

Speaking at the official unveiling, Mr. Ubebe hinted on the purpose of the website which he said will collate a centralized database of both past and current students, preserve the profiles of past and present executives who have served in NAGS since its inception, and provide a platform for leaders, students, executives, and stakeholders to acquaint themselves with the foundation and evolution of NAGS.

Other purposes he said the website will achieve borders on keeping track of NAGS' activities, to serve as a tool to nurture future leaders, to provide an online presence accessible to a broader audience towards the globalization of NAGS, and the establishment of a standard of excellence within Gbaramatu community as an inspiration for other student bodies.

Speaking on the gift and unveiling of the official website by the Comrade Timiyan-led former executives, the president of NAGS, Comrade Simon Douye, thanked the immediate-past executives for their kind gesture which he described as "the best gift a father could bequeath his son".

He promised to key into the purpose of the website and to create more awareness of it so that students of the union body can gain access to it while also putting the website towards fulfilling the objectives to which it was created in the first place.
