PRAISE TAMARATAREFAGHA AKPOS: 'A Lot of Battles Were Fought' — The Oturubo's | Give Thanks for Victory Over Shame
The family of Chief (Hon.) and Mrs. Akpodikumor Oturubo, natives of Okerenkoko Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, have revealed that they encountered certain challenges in the course of trying to make another child, a journey which began after the year 2000 and that lasted for 26 years.
The couple made the confession at a Thanksgiving/Child Dedication ceremony of their infant child dubbed “Miracle Baby”, baby Praise Tamaratarefagha Akpos, which held in the Restoration Zion Kolokolo Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Sharing their testimonies, Chief Oturubo, who was a former chairman of Okerenkoko Federated Community and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Community Development to the Delta State Government, said himself and his wife were mocked for their inability to conceive, a situation he said led to false rumours been spread about them, bringing sadness, most particularly to his wife.
He revealed that their situation forced them to seek remedy from various health specialists, both in Nigeria and abroad, but results revealed that nothing was wrong with them as a couple. In the end, they decided to put their faith in God and to wait for His appointed time as revealed in the Bible Book of Ecclesiastes 3.
On the 25th year, he said the appointed time came, as Mrs. Oturubo conceived with a child. However, the battles were not done, forcing the wife to relocate until she would later appear when her pregnancy was full blown, a situation the couple revealed brought shame upon those who earlier mocked them.
Families and friends of the couple, as well as well-wishers joined them during the Thanksgiving as the happy couple fulfilled their vow by presenting an amplifier sound system to help amplify praises to the Almighty God for giving them victory over shame.
A guest and spiritual leader, the Minister-in-Charge of Bibopere Zion Okerenkoko, Apst. Peter Ebieride German, JP, did the honour of dedicating Baby Praise Tamaratarefagha Akpos during the dedication ceremony, while prayers of God's protection and blessings were offered on the infant and on his parents by the General Overseer of the ministry, Boan. Columbus Oluba, as well as on the congregation.

It was a joyful celebration during the thanksgiving and dedication ceremony as the couple were filled with joy as they danced in excitement, demonstrating their gratitude to the Almighty God.
The couple later departed to the reception venue where they hosted families, friends and well-wishers to a get-together celebration for the wonders of God in their lives.
The experience of the Oturubo's has once again brought to the fore the adage which says that "Delay is not Denial" and "God Almighty has the final say". It alai reinforces the importance of believers to keep faith as they look up to God in all circumstances, never wavering, but waiting for His appointed time.
