[PHOTOS] Tears As Late Boan. Deborah Atiti Mala Goes Home At 63

It was all tears on Saturday, August 19, 2023, when the remains of the Late Mrs. Bonage Deborah Atiti Mala Nee Iweigha Ogoba, a native of Benikrukru and Kokodiagbene communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, was committed to Mother Earth.

Earlier, the corpse of the Late Boan. Deborah Mala was conveyed on Friday, August 18, from Ame Specialist Clinic Mortuary in Warri at 12noon to Benikrukru, where a final Christian service was held in her honour, followed by an all-night social wake-keep ceremony.

"You were my adviser, my protector in times of trouble, my mentor and my bossom friend," wrote her first daughter, Timi Francis Mala in her tribute, while she also lamented the sad reality that she would never see her mother again.

On the part of Keme-eseimokumor Junior Mala, the second child of the deceased, he recalled the inspiration of his mother's goodness and raised doubt if they would ever get such love and care exhibited by their late mother.

"My mother was an inspiring soul, always there for all who came to her with their troubles. Her home was open to everyone and her hospitality made them feel important. She was most loving, compassionate, understanding, family-oriented woman and one of the most beautiful souls one could ever meet. Sometimes I wonder where we can get the heartfelt love and care you lavished on us," he wrote in his tribute.

The Late Boan. Deborah Mala, survived by two children and two grandchildren, passed away on the 25th of June 2023 at the age of 63 years. Born in 1960, she attended Local Authority Primary school in 1970 in her hometown after which she learned typist at the Step Forward Commercial School (formerly known as Mosus Commercial School) in Ometa by Toronto, Warri for two years. The deceased had to pause her education to tend to her sick elder brother in Koko before returning back to complete her studies in 1979.

According to her biography, she was a dedicated member of the Ebi-Bode Zion Oporoza and was in the department of Omo Ogun Krist before being promoted to the rank of Bonage.

Described as a an industrious, lovely, wonderful, hardworking and a woman of integrity, the Late Boan. Deborah Mala later got married to her husband, Chief Francis Atiti Mala, and the union produced two children.

"With the few times we spent together as a mother and daughter, I can boldly say you are the best mother in-law any woman will pray to have," wrote Mrs. Grace Kingsley Maka, her daughter-in-law, while her first grandchild remarked "I know you are in a happy place now resting in Heaven, rest in peace grandma."

May her golden soul sleep peacefully until Resurrection day and may God Almighty comfort those she left behind, Amen.
