KENYANGBENE: Ojogun pledges “All-Inclusive” governance, calls for synergy
The newly-elected Executive Chairman of oil-rich Kenyangbene Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Thankgod Ojogun, has pledged that his “leadership will be anchored on an 'All-Inclusive' regime where every voice matters, every hand is needed, and every member of our community has a stake in our progress.”
Mr. Ojogun made the pledge while delivering his acceptance speech on behalf of his fellow exco members at the swearing-in/inauguration that held in the riverine community, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Other members of the council are Gift Tonjoh (Vice Chairman), Yirimine Samuel Saniyo (Secretary), Pere John (Public Relations Officer, P.R.O), Mrs Vivian Kingsley (Treasurer), Mrs Gloria Wariyai (Assistant Secretary), Douglas Emmanuel (Assistant P.R.O), Kokobaikime Eferusuoa (Financial Secretary), Oluwafemi Nicholas (Social Secretary), Benjamin Ukpekpere (Internal Auditor), Mrs Caro Ebitimi (Ex Official) and Mrs Comfort Lafam (Chief Whip).

Sharing his leadership agenda, the Executive Chairman said, "Our priority will be to strengthen the home front through consistent communication, transparency, and accountability. You deserve to know what is being done, why it is being done, and how it affects you. I commit to creating platforms for regular engagement so that decisions are not made in isolation, but through collaborative consultation with our elders, chiefs, youth leaders, and women leaders.
"We will focus on tangible development: peace and security within our community, youth empowerment through skills and opportunities, support for our mothers and traders, improvements in our environment, and stronger collaboration with our parent community of Benikrukru and the Gbaramatu Kingdom at large.
"Our goal is simple—to make Kenyangbene a better, safer, and more prosperous place to call home," he emphasized.
However, Mr. Ojogun called on the entire stakeholders comprising elders, youths, and women to join hands with the newly-elected leadership to bring about the transformation of the oil-rich community.
"Let me be clear: I cannot do this alone. Leadership is not a one-man show. It is a collective responsibility. I need your eyes to see what I may miss, your ideas to sharpen our plans, and your hands to help execute them," he appealed.
"If you see a problem, bring it to my attention. If you have a solution, share it with me. Criticism without a constructive alternative helps no one. But ideas, energy, and commitment from all of us will move mountains. The strength of Kenyangbene has always been in our unity, and it is that unity we must now activate for development.
"I pledge to be accessible, to listen, and to act in the best interest of our community. In return, I ask for your cooperation, your patience, and your willingness to work together. When we put Kenyangbene first—above personal interest, above division—there is nothing we cannot achieve," he noted.

Mr Ojogun thanked the Almighty God, the outgone executive council, and all stakeholders, particularly the Nehi-Bralabor Quarters where he emerged from, for their support, and promised to live beyond expectations.
"In Conclusion, as we begin this new chapter, let us do so with hope, with purpose, and with a shared commitment to our people. May our tenure be remembered as a season of unity, progress, and service. Thank you, and may God bless us all and guide our hands as we work for Kenyangbene," he prayed.
