GYC 2024: Comr. Asoh Congratulates Mr. Egbejule-led Youth Council, Commends Eleco for Credible Election
The immediate-past Secretary General of the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) Worldwide in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West council area of Delta State, Comr. Asoh Ebikefe, has charged the newly inaugurated GYC executives led by its President, Mr. Egbejule Kingsley, to put the interest of youths in the kingdom foremost in the discharge of the responsibilities saddled with the Council.
Comr. Asoh who was among the list of recipients that received an award for participating and contributing to the growth and development of the youth Council, gave the charge in a congratulatory note on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Part of the message reads:
"I join the youths and other stakeholders in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom to congratulate the newly inaugurated youth executives of the great Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) Worldwide.
"I urge the newly sworn-in president and his executives to work together in unison, to build on the existing foundation that we have laid, and moreover, to not relent but continue the good work.
"Also, in the discharge of your duties and responsibilities as GYC executives, I urge you all to put the interest of Gbaramatu Kingdom and her youths foremost even before your personal interests," he counseled.
Comr. Asoh also commended the GYC Electoral Committee as led by its chairman, Mayor Ipopo Present, and secretary, Comr. Joshua Otuaro, for keeping to its promise of conducting a transparent election which produced the GYC executives that were inaugurated on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Oporoza community, headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
"To the Electoral Committee chairman and his exco members, I appreciate you all for conducting a very free, fair, credible and peaceful election without any hiccups."
It would be recalled that the then Hon. Shadrach Ebikeme led-GYC held its national convention and election on March 1 and in the keenly contested position of president, Mr. Egbejule emerged as winner after polling 28 votes from 50 delegates who participated in the process.
