updated 03 Feb, 2024

A talent hunt and promotional group in Delta State, the Composer Music Industry, under the leadership of its president Sinwa Ebizi, and in partnership with the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS), has released 30 free Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms as part of its sponsorship programme to students of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

The student body, led by its President Simon Douye, announced the programme sponsored by the Composer Music Industry, over the weekend.

Part of the NAGS statement reads: "We are thrilled to announce a sponsorship program for Gbaramatu students preparing to take JAMB examination. Students who are looking for opportunities to further their education should seize the chance to participate in the ongoing JAMB (Joint Admission And Matriculation Board) form program, which is being generously provided by our able elder brother (Sir Sinwa Aaron Ebizi).

"Education is the key to a brighter future, and COMPOSER MUSIC INDUSTRY in conjunction with National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS) want to support our students that are ready to take 2024 JAMB/UTME, but for a limited number of 30 persons."

When contacted by PENGlobal Community, the sponsor of the initiative, Sinwa, revealed that while this is not the first time they would be embarking on such a programme, the reason behind it is to encourage the younger generation who lack the resources to further their education to be able to pursue their academic dreams.

He said, "We have been doing this but not publicised as this. This makes it the second time though. The intention is to raise up the young ones who desire to go to school. We also visit the less privilege in orphanages to inspire and encourage them with various aids like cash and food items."

Speaking further on the platform, Composer Music Industry, the founder and president said, "Composer Music Industry is a foundation. Our mission is to help the less privilege and to promote young ones in the Niger Delta creeks who are musically talented in gospel, highlife, and other forms of music. We book studio sessions for them in a bid for them to showcase their talents."

On the area of funding of students who succeed in the JAMB examination, Sinwa noted that the initiative is to encourage the students to take the first step in the pursuit of their dreams and that the foundation is hoping on meeting with notable stakeholders in the kingdom to assist such successful students in the long-term.

"We are using this medium to appeal to all stakeholders in the kingdom for their good spirited efforts to support the second phase of this initiative. God will make resources available for us to make it in Gbaramatu Kingdom," he prayed.

Speaking further he added, "I also want to use this medium to appreciate some dignitaries in Gbaramatu Kingdom for their service towards the growth and development of the kingdom particularly in terms of education.

"Personalities like High Chief (Dr.) Government Ekpemupolo, Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi, Engr. Gabriel Bebenimibo, High Chief Michael Johnny, Sir Godfrey Pondi, High Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Hon. George Ekpemupolo, High Chief Simeon Bebenimibo, Sir Ernest Bebenimibo, Chief Timi Oluba, among others. May God bless you all."
