BIRTHDAY: Admiration as Families, Friends Celebrate Chief Linus Yeinanagbegha JP
It was a day of encomium as prominent Chief Linus Yeinanagbegha (JP), the Perewenebuonimiwei of Ogulagha Kingdom in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, was treated to a Surprise Birthday celebration by families and friends at his residence in Warri, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Described as a father and an exemplary one, families and friends in attendance heaped praises on the celebrant who was taken aback on the early morning visit to spice up his special day.
Mrs. Izeigbe Livingstone, wife of a friend to the celebrant, who presented a white wrapper as birthday gift, described him as a nice, caring, patient and peaceful man, while wishing him a long life, good health and wisdom to pilot his home and the Ogulagha Kingdom.
A co-chief, Chief Francis Satu described the celebrant as a man with an open heart, who is willing to share with everyone in need and as a good man anyone would gladly identify with. He capped his comments with prayers of long life, happiness and all that the celebrant desires.
A neighbour, Elder French Emiyenbo, said the celebrant is a generous and peaceful man that is easy to get along with. He described his relationship with him as cordial and prayed for God to protect and keep him to celebrate more birthdays ahead.
A family member, Chief George Timiyan JP, said the celebrant, who is his uncle, is a man that is free from fault and a mentor to him. He further described his uncle as a leader who puts his house in order as demonstrated in the cooperation of three of his wives coming together in unity to celebrate their husband.
Towing the same line of his junior brother, Capt. Anthony Timiyan, said his admiration for his uncle springs from the way the celebrant is able to organise his family peacefully unlike most polygamous homes that were in turbulence. He further added that his uncle is such a man that hates oppression, and ended his comments with prayers for his uncle, but with humour added in the course of his prayers for his uncle when he prayed for more wives for him, eliciting no response of "Amen" from guests.
A friend of the family, Mr Friday Negedu, who also described his long time friend (who he hinted their relationship started in May 1993) as a dependable friend, also added humour when he revealed the celebrant's penchant for shouting but also possessing a soft spot of soothing his victims with cash, an act he jokingly said makes him to look forward to his friend's shouting match so he can get more money from him.
On the part the wives in attendance (Mrs. Roseline, Mrs. Ufuoma and Mrs. Ruth), they described their husband as loving, caring and every woman's dream. They prayed God to continue to keep him in good health and strength as well as grant him peace of mind.
In his appreciation, hinging his prayers on the Bible books of 2nd Corinthians 1 verse 10 and Luke 6 verse 38, the celebrant prayed for all who contributed towards his happy moment, for God to grant them long life and for others to do more for them than they have done for him.
The rest of the surprise birthday was marked with celebration as more guests trooped into the residence of the Perewenebuonimiwei of Ogulagha Kingdom to offer more gifts and cakes. With music echoing from loudspeakers, guests were entertained with drinks as the women danced in excitement.
Congratulations to the Perewenebuonimiwei of Ogulagha Kingdom. His life indeed offer lessons of value, most important is that it is good to be good.
