BIOGRAPHY: A sad day as Evang. Bebenimibo buries mother in-law, late Agnes Erakoro
The community of Okpara Egbo Inland in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State stood still and in sadness for the mother in-law of Evangelist Emmanuel Bebenimibo, a native of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West council area of the state, late Agnes Erakoro, who was laid to rest in her family quarter, Eterogba, on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Earlier in the day, families and other sympathisers conveyed the body of the deceased from the Noble Mortuary at Udu council area in a motorcade to her hometown.
The brief Christian funeral ceremony which climaxed with interment of the deceased, who was a member of the Jehovah's Witness, also witnessed tributes and the presentation of the biography of late Agnes Erakoro to the audience, among other activities.
According to the biography, the late Agnes "was born into the families of Late Daniel Esiakpere and Mary Omotevuri 64 years ago, both from Delta State" and she later got married "to Brother Onojeghrame. Our beloved mother was dedicated and baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she held her faith till her death.
"Our beloved mother attended St. May Nicholas Primary School, Otan Iyagbeju, Osun State (formerly Oyo State) in 1970. She then proceeded to Otan Modern School in 1976. Later in her life she also attended Teacher’s Training School.
"Our beloved mother was loved by all; her doors was always open to friends and families including her Christian brothers and sisters.
"Our beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother slept in Jehovah’s memory on the 21st of February 2025. Up until now the children, she left behind, her siblings, grandchildren, and in-laws are still yet to come to terms with her death, but the hope of resurrection to a life where we will all live and never die again is what is keeping us.
"Mother, till then, may you continue to rest and when the time is right for Jehovah to bring all His faithful servants back to life, we pray Jehovah counts you worthy to be among those who will enjoy all the benefits He has in store for mankind (Rev. 21:3,4)," the biography concludes.
Entertainment of family friends and other sympathisers that were in attendance followed after the interment ceremony.
The beloved late mother, sister, wife, daughter and grandmother, who passed away at the age of 64 years, is survived by three children, five grandchildren, among other relatives.
