ASTOUNDING FEAT: The Woman With Most Online Certificates in One Day

updated 16 Oct, 2023

Did you know that a student from Kerala, Indian, made a solitary record in the International Book of Record by completing 81 online certificates in various courses in just 24 hours?

Rehna Shajahan, a Kerala student, inspired by her sister Nehal who lives in London and works for a non-government organisation names 'Women’s Manifesto', surpassed the record of 75 certificate courses by completing 81 online certificate courses at just the age of 25 on 24 November 2020. The feat earned her a place in the International Book of Records after successfully achieving 81 certificates in one day with the guidance of Dr Sharnas Muthu.

Rehna, who resides in Kottayam, Kerala, dreamed of completing a Master’s in Commerce from the Jamia Millia Islamia, but failed to grab a seat. Undeterred, she took online admission in two different Post-graduate programmes.

Along with the Master’s in Social Work, she enrolled in the Diploma in Guidance and Counseling Course. She attempted courses offered by Google, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and others. The majority of the courses were in digital marketing and finance, with most requiring a 70% passing rate to receive a certificate.

She chose to pursue management study and preparation for the Common Entrance Test [CAT] after her post-graduation, which she recently also cleared at Jamia Millia Islamia, earning her a MBA (Master’s in Business Administration), making her the only Malayali student in the batch.

Rehna, who has become the first woman to make such a record in Online education, through her achievement is not an inspiration for many, but also motivates youth for E-learning.

The world record of "Maximum Certificates Achieve" is achieved by Annamalai P from Tiruvannamalai, (Tamil Nadu) in India on 23rd September 2020. He achieved 1000 certificates by doing courses in Coursera and set a new world record for the International Book Of Records.
