APPRECIATION: Engr. Jude Preye Note of Thanks on Successful Burial of Late Father, Pa. Kwekwe-wei Onimiemene Odibo

I have now joined the fatherless occasioned by the loss of my dear golden father at the ripe age of 95, Pa. Kwekwe-wei Onimiemene Odibo, the Amaokosuwei of Benikrukru Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, who has been laid to eternal rest in his hometown after a funeral which held on Friday, May 15, 2026.

I therefore use this medium to tender my heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God for the smooth success and for His protection over everyone that graced the funeral as they joined us to honour our father as we pay our last respect.

I am indeed grateful to the countless number of sympathisers and supporters who joined hands together to give my golden father a befitting burial. From members of the Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs to high ranking personalities such as the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, to the Chairman of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, among several other financiers, I am truly grateful.

I thank the golden people of Benikrukru Community comprising of the Executive Council, the Elders' Council, Council of Chiefs (Benikrukru), the quarters of Nehi-Bralabor, Gbajoh and Oboro; the women and youths for their show of massive love and support to my dearly beloved father.

I will not fail to acknowledge the numerous guests who came from far and near, as well as from other neighboring communities in the kingdom to sympathise with us and to honour my beloved father. Your presence is an honour to us and I am grateful for your solidarity.

To the members of the burial planning committee led by Chief Jeffrey Ekankumor Ojogun, the Kurowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, I am grateful for the role you played in not only ensuring a successful funeral, but for your years of care and support to our golden father.

Lastly, I end this appreciative note with what I wrote in my tribute, an expression of gratitude to my departed father, as follows: "Thank you, Father, for the life you built and the life you helped me build. Thank you for being a man I can look up to, not just as a child, but as an adult who now understands the cost of that steadiness. Though you are no longer here in the way I wish, your presence remains in the way I think, the way I act, and the way I hold my own family together. Father, your legacy is not only in what you gave us, but in who we have become because of you. Your work here was well done and your influence will endure for generations. With profound respect and enduring love. Rest in peace, Father."
