WAKE KEEP/INTERMENT: Final Goodbye As Families, Sympathisers Pay Last Respect to Late Capt. Willy Isanegba

The remains of the late Capt. Willy Isanegba, who hails from the family of Brakoregha of Paghasa Quarter in Odimodi Community, Burutu Local Government Area, and the Deregbanghan family of Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West, both of Delta State, after an all-night social wake-keep ceremony was committed to Mother Earth in Odimodi on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Guests from both Okerenkoko and other communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom and from the Burutu area turned up in their large numbers to pay their last respect to the father and grandfather, who passed away at the age of 85 years.

The social wake ceremony, which kicked off in the evening hours after the Christian funeral service, witnessed musical rendition, dances, in-law greetings, and refreshments among others with musical supplied by Chief Kingsley Takemebo and his Jesus is Lord Band.

In the early hours of Saturday, the body of the late Capt. was laid to eternal rest, amidst a downpour of tears from family members and friends as they bade final farewell to a man whose life and legacy of love and care continues to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

The Late Capt. Willy Isanegba is survived by wife, Mrs. Shell Willy Isanegba; and 11 children: Mrs Powei Matthew Agadabiri, Mrs Bolazigha Godspower, Mrs Loveth Ernest Bebenimibo, Mr. Akpos Isanegba, Mr. Tombra Isanegba, Miss Sandra Isanegba, Mr. Deme Isanegba, Mr. Timi Isanegba, Master Jude Isanegba, Master Dennis Isanegba, Master Wisdom Isanegba; and 17 grandchildren.
