TRIBUTES: Golden eulogies as Late Mrs Pine Uluse Ejoh Yellow Itima laid to rest

Irreplaceable, loving, caring, cherished, understanding, special.. are among some of the adjectival words that were used by her children, grandchildren, in-laws among other relatives, to describe 95-year-old late Mrs Pine Uluse Ejoh Yellow Itima whose final burial rite took place on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The late mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who, at the time of her passing on April 26, 2024, is survived by five children, 26 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren among relatives and friends, was laid to eternal rest at her hometown, Inikorogha community in Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Though the funeral, tagged as a "Celebration of Life", however brought back memories of the impacts the life of the loving mother had on those who knew her while she was alive.

"My beloved mum, the most peaceful woman I have ever seen, I bless the Lord for calling you my mother," wrote the first daughter, Mrs. Savanna Minama, in her tributes, and then added in reflection, "I pray that God gives us, your children, the understanding to love each other just as you loved us..."

The senior son, Hon. Franklin Ejoh, recalled "Mum, your laughter was like sunshine, your strength and resilience inspired us all. I will never forget the countless sacrifices you made for me and my siblings... You taught me the importance of kindness, compassion, patience and truth..."

Another of her son, Mr. Ejoh Christopher, wrote, "Words cannot describe the roles you played in my life when you were alive. But with no regret, knowing that you have rested in the Lord, I will be happier when we meet to part no more," he added confidently.

On their part, Engr. (Mrs.) Ejoh Lovelyn and Mrs. Ejoh Anthonia, her daughter in-laws, confessed that the late Mrs. Pine was a wonderful mother in-law who was also a source of endless love, support, encouragement, a woman of grace, thoughtfulness, sacrificial, a pillar of love, an epitome of wisdom and knowledge, and as such they will greatly miss her absence in their lives.

In the same vein, two of her grandchildren, Barr. Tamarapreye Minama and Barr. Preabor Minama, revealed that they will always remember their grandmother for her loving and caring nature, and for her prayers on her children and grandchildren among others.

The funeral rite, officiated by the New Bethlehem Zion Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Inikorogha Town, was rounded up with the commiting to Mother Earth the remains of the golden mother who was determined to see her children attain education and success in life.

May her gentle soul rest peacefully in the Bosom of the Almighty God, Amen.
