TRIBUTE: Gbaramatu Traditional Council Bids Farewell to Otuaro's Father In-Law, Late Chief Capt. Felix Ekpetipu

The Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has described the late Chief Capt. Snr. Apst. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu, father in-law to the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, High Chief Dr Dennis Brutu Otuaro, as "a personality with a quiet disposition and a man of peace" and that the late member of the council will be greatly missed.

The traditional council's tribute, signed by the Fiyewei of the kingdom, High Chief Amb. Dr. Godspower Gbenekama T.D.A. (JP), is coming as the remains of the late Chief who is the Amadiwei of Jones Creek community was conveyed from the Safe Haven Mortuary in Warri to his home, Kokodiagbene community, for the final funeral rite on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

In the early hours of Thursday, the families and sympathisers conveyed the body of the late Chief in a motorcade to a barge stationed at the Miller Waterfront near NPA for onward journey to the venue of the funeral rite.

"The Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs offer our message of condolence to the families of the late Chief Capt. SNR. APST. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu, who until his demise at the age of 82 years is the Amadiwei of Jones Creek 11 community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

"While we express our shock at his sudden demise, we can explicitly state that the loss of the late Chief Capt. SNR. APST. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu is not only one that is felt by the Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs and the Ekpetipu Dynasty but it is one that has also created a vacuum in Jones Creek 11 community and in the Kokodiagbene Community Leaders of Thought.

"The late Chief Capt. SNR. APST. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu will forever be missed by the Gbaramatu Traditional Council of Chiefs and will be remembered as a personality with a quiet disposition and a man of peace. His position as the Amadiwei buttresses his personality as someone who is responsible, dedicated to community service and eager to serve the people by contributing his quota to the growth and development of the Jones Creek community, Kokodiagbene community, and in extension, Gbaramatu Kingdom at large.

"The Gbaramatu Traditional Council of Chiefs therefore pray his soul to find peaceful rest in the Bosom of the Creator. We urge the family to take solace in the legacy left behind by the late Chief Capt. Snr. Apst. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu while he was yet alive.

"Once again, be thou comforted, and may his soul rest in perfect peace."
