The traditional marriage ceremony held at the residence of the bride's father in Ukuwhrere Close, New Layout off Jakpa Road, with family members and other guests from both the bride and groom's witnessing the once-in-a-lifetime event.

The colourful ceremony began outdoors on arrival of the groom, in company of his family, and were later entertained by the bride's family in a mild ceremony under the decorated canopies set up in the venue, before selected members of both families proceeded indoors to begin the payment of the bride's price.

Major highlights of the traditional marriage was the appearance of the beautiful bride after her bridal payment had been concluded, and who, being handed a glass of wine, searched out her beloved groom-cum-husband among the guests that were seated indoors.
