Prominent Chief (Mrs.) Vero Emmanuel (JP), the Iyela-ere of Izon-Ibe and the Ibe-Benimo-Ere of Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has launched a copy of the most anticipated magazine in 2023, The PENGlobal Watch, on Friday, August 4, 2023 in Warri, describing the maiden edition of the magazine as "a pride to us."

Chief Vero, who is also a People's Democratic Party, PDP, woman leader and was billed for the magazine launch as Mother of the day, was unfortunately unavoidably absent during the launch which held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, as she was out of the country.

The vocal woman leader commended the publisher, Mr. Abai Francis, for bracing the oddity to embark on such a laudable project, especially in dedicating the maiden edition to showcasing Ijaw personalities and programmes.

The Iyela-ere, who is the custodian of chieftaincy titles from seven kingdoms in the Niger Delta region, while launching the magazine with a handsome cash, commended all those who supported the magazine launch and made it a success, 

She also appealed to others, particularly the Ijaws, to engage with the PENGlobal brand for their programmes stressing that the quality of the magazine beats her expectations, and that "it is a pride to us that such a unique magazine is from our own son," she added.

Also present to witness the magazine presentation is Chief James Tangbowei (JP), the Toimelemowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, and pioneer member of the PDP, as well as a leader in Okerenkoko Federated Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, who also received a copy, courtesy of Chief Vero.

The publisher appreciates the commendations from the Iyela-ere and support from all other stakeholders, and promised to keep the sail of the PENGlobal ship as the magazine has come to stay.

The quarterly magazine, which is in limited copies, is the first-of-its-kind ever published in the Niger Delta showcasing social ceremonies, birthdays, interviews, personality profiles, history, factfile among others, and it has been receiving positive ratings after the launch.
