6TH ANNIVERSARY: EBF gives score card, seeks more partnership
The Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation (EBF), a nongovernmental organisation in the Niger Delta region, which has as its slogan, "Touching lives, one person at a time", has given its score card of achievements for the past six years as the Foundation marks its 6th anniversary with in-house capacity building workshop on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
According to its Founder, Dcn. Ernest Bebenimibo, the EBF has over the last six years touched lives, built hope, and empowered communities through its various outreaches and programmes that have benefitted pupils, students, and the elderly, among others beneficiaries of its sponsored initiatives.
Among its recorded milestones, the Founder noted that the EBF has been able to reach over 40,000 students and pupils across rural-riverine communities, offered 1,500 scholarships to students, offered aids to over 5,000 widows across various communities, and had entered into collaboration with more than 100 schools to help foster excellence.
Speaking on the 6th anniversary, in a statement released by the EBF, he said, "What began as a simple vision to reach communities and restore hope has grown into a journey of consistent impact. Over the years, we have been privileged to touch lives, support students, stand with widows, and collaborate with schools across communities.
"This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, the wisdom and support of our Board of Trustees, our partners, and everyone who believes in the vision of building hope and empowering lives," the EBF Boss added.
On the reason of marking the 6th anniversary with capacity training, the Founder stressed on the importance of learning to improve on excellent service delivery considering the scope of its various programmes outlined ahead for the year 2026.
Dcn. Bebenimibo acknowledged the support received from sponsors and partners, and offered his appreciation to them for standing with the EBF for the past six years to touch lives.
"I equally use the medium to appreciate our patrons, most especially Chief Godfrey Tare Pondi, and the members of the Board of Trustees such Hon. George Ekpemupolo, Engr. Michael Tonlagha, Chief Simeon Bebenimibo JP; my wife, Mrs. Loveth Bebenimibo and so many that have been of support to us over the years, even Sir Jimmy Ogida.
"As we celebrate this anniversary, we are reminded that the work continues. There are still many communities to reach and many lives to impact.
"I therefore use this medium to call for more sponsorship, more partnership to meet the need, the demanding need of the student and pupils that are cut across Niger Delta, Nigeria, as a whole. By the special grace of God, we need more sponsorship and more partnership," he appealed.
The nongovernmental organisation was established in the year 2020 at the Founder's hometown, Okerenkoko Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, with a divine mandate to rise to the less privilege in rural-riverine areas, according to Dcn. Bebenimibo.
