SERVICE OF SONGS: 10 Things to Know About Late Mrs Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi)

On Monday, March 11, 2024, a Service of Songs ceremony was held in honour of the Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi), who passed away in Warri, Delta State, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the age of 85 years.

The Christian ceremony which held at the residence of one of her sons, Chief Isaiah Ukulor, in the Niger-Cat area near Ekpan, was officiated by ministers from several Cherubim and Seraphim churches as well as other pentecostal ministers in attendance.

Among the ministers that delivered sermons centered on repentance and on the need to dedicate one's life to serving God include Pastor Marvel Zibimoghan of Eagles Wings Church, Prophet Tamarakuro Ike Olotu of Salem City, and Apst. Samson Itikpan.

Other major highlights in the ceremony include a praise and worship session, presentation of biography of the deceased by Mrs. Glory Otutufegha, a daughter; prayers for the family of the Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi), offering session and entertainment.

Here are 10 things to know about the late mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

FACT 1: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi), born in 1938 at Odimodi Town, is paternally from Ifikorowei Idumu of Odimodi in Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu LGA, and maternally from Ibu-Idumu of Okerenkoko Town, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West LGA, both of Delta State.

FACT 2: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) was not privilege to gain formal education but learned the traditional art of fishing and trading from her parents at a very young age very well. However, with determination she developed herself personally to the point of reading the Bible and writing simple words, while she urged her children to be educated.

FACT 3: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) got married to Late Pa. Wolo Ukulor, the founder and head of New Bethlehem Zion, Inikorogha. Until his death at a good old age, she stayed faithful and submissive, caring and giving priority to her husband's welfare and well-being as a dedicated wife.

FACT 4: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) is said to be a loving mother that pursued the principles of fidelity, honesty, the fear of God, obedience and respect for elders, principles she inculcated in her biological and foster children.

FACT 5: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) is a businesswoman that became a middle woman in the fish trade business. She performed excellently well in trade that she was admitted as a member of the prestigious Better Life Indiyere Ogbo.

FACT 6: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) is renowned as one of the few women in Gbaramatu Kingdom to own a brand new Yamaha boat engine during her time as a fish trader.

FACT 7: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) is also described as a prudent and resourceful business woman whose provision shop in Inikorogha community, Gbaramatu Kingdom was the biggest and one-stop shop for inhabitants and an alternative for those who sent for household consumables from the city of Warri.

FACT 8: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) is a dedicated Christian who worshipped God until her departure from Earth. In her quest to serve God she attended training at the School of Theology, Aron-Owun headquarters thereafter became the Most Mother of New Bethlehem Zion. Her love for and dedication to God was so strong that she even instructed on her death bed that she should be buried according to the Cherubim and Seraphim burial rites in a Bible casket.

FACT 9: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) is described as an accommodative and tolerant woman who get on easily with both her own extended family members and her husband's family members. This made her to be loved and accepted in her paternal home: Okerenkoko, and maternal homes: Ofougbene, and Odimodi.

FACT 10: Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) until her demise is survived by seven children, 22 grand children and two great grandchildren among other relatives.

The Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) will finally be laid to rest in Odimodi after a social wake-keep cermony on Thursday, March 14, 2024. May her loving gentle soul rest peacefully, Amen.
