The newly married couple, Mr. Ebikeme Samuel and Mrs. Timiebi Jasmine Abai, whose traditional marriage held on Thursday, May 30, finally wrapped up the celebration of their union with a wedding at the Gloryland Baptist Church, Igbogidi, Udu, which was followed by a colourful reception at the Shell Ramp near Enerhen Junction in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

The reception, which was chaired by a former chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area, Hon. George Ekpemupolo and the Alaere 1 of Arogbo Kingdom, Princess Titus, also had in attendance other dignitaries among them the Registrar of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Dr. Alfred Mulade; an environmental peace advocate and entrepreneur, Chief (Comr.) Sheriff Mulade; Elder Emmanuel Abai, Elder Amos Uttoh; Chief Ghana Pondi, Hon. Jimoh Keniye; a former president of the Gbaramatu Youth Council, Hon. Shadrach Ebikeme, and chairman of Ijaw Youth Council, Comr. Wazo Zikurebai.

As the ceremony kicked off, in his counsel to the couple, Hon. Ekpemupolo charged the newly married pair to always make out time for a conversation and always place the fear of God as an essential part of their union.

Earlier, the handsome and beautiful couple, after changing from the wedding outfits to traditional attires, were accompanied by well-wishers as they made their entry into the venue while dancing to the melodious tunes of Izon highlife musician, Prince Smally Okpe.

Later, having settled down, they both proceeded to cut their wedding cake and engaged in the ceremonial activity of taking turns to feed each other in a demonstration of their love, before finally hitting the dancefloor for their first dance together while guests appreciated them.

Speaking to PENGlobal Social, the latest wife, Mrs. Timiebi, disclosed to the business and social brand promoter what attracted her to her hubby, his charming character and what he should be expecting from her as a wife, just as she counseled ladies who are still searching for the right partner to look beyond money or riches when making their choice.

"I just want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for making themselves available to share in our joy. And on one of the things that attracted me to my loving husband was his playfulness; he was so funny, like the way he throws his word. Jokingly he'll be saying things.

"At a point, I said okay let me take it seriously, and then I saw that he was not just joking. Under that playful attitude there was a serious man; he knows what he wanted and he went for it. And from last year, all the things he was saying, every word he spoke, every word he has been saying was true.

"I think both of us were fated to be together, even all my trying to avoid it (because our friendship didn't start last year, it has been since 2017, 2018). After my graduation, he has been coming. So, it's not something that just happened between the two of us," she added with smiles.

Speaking further the Ayoro added, "My advice to young searching women is that, just go for the man that has the right mind for you. Sometimes it's not those financial things or those flashy things that attract ladies. Girls of our time just want a man with a car, a man that has the money or those kind of things; sometimes, those persons will come, but then look for a man that is matured in his thinking, he's responsible. Forget about every other thing and focus on that one, and you will see that God will do it," she said confidently.

On what her husband would be expecting in their home, she revealed, “He is going to be expecting a support system, a woman that is down to support him to be the help meet that God has assigned her to be.”
