RECEPTION: Ebimobowei, Timipere Join Forces as Otuaro, Pondi, Ekpemupolo, Others Grace Celebration

Love is like a magnet that holds together two hearts that beat as one irrespective of their profession, age, creed, language, colour, or what other differentials have you. And for the groom, Ebimobowei Ari Atafiri, a certified mathematician, and the bride, Timipere Jonathan, a computer scientist, their union is a demonstration of that fact.

The couple who finally became one, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, after their traditional marriage rites at Ogobiri Town in Mein Kingdom, Sagbama local council area of Bayelsa State, were joined by their families, friends and other well-wishers in celebration of their union at the Jubilee Retreat and Conference Center, Enerhen Road in Effurun, Delta State, on Friday, December 6, 2024.

The reception ceremony had in attendance the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), High Chief Dr Dennis Brutu Otuaro; the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), High Chief Engr Kestin Pondi; the General Manager Operations, TSSNL; former chairman of Warri South-West LG Council, Hon. George Ekpemupolo; Sir Godfrey Tare Pondi.

Also among other high ranking personalities in attendance are members of the Gbaramatu Traditional Council of Chiefs, members of Kokodiagbene community (hometown of the groom) and the Gbaramatu Kingdom chapter of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide.

The celebration was marked with fun fare with major highlights that include the cutting of the marriage cake by, and special dance by the couple, with musical entertainment supplied by Chief Kingsley Takemebo and his Jesus is Lord Crew.

"They say that good wives are scarce; that the good ones are based on recommendation," said the beautiful bride cum wife amidst smiles, and then added, "So, I was recommended by a friend," she revealed during a chat with PENGlobal Social.

Mrs. Timipere, the computer scientist, who has a B.Sc from the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, further disclosed that their relationship set off in February 2024 while she also revealed what the attraction was for her.

"The first thing that attracted me to him was his smell. Naturally he smells nice without perfume. He was neat. Then, he is caring and loving. He's a sweet man, very sweet," she admitted in admiration of her husband.

On the part of Mr. Ebimobowei, son of the legendary Late High Chief Atafiri Ari, the Toripuwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, and a mathematical graduate from the Chukwuemeka Odomegwu Ojukwu Univerity in Anambra State, admitted that it was her "caring" nature which made her "a darling" to him.

Sharing her thoughts and counsel to single ladies that are still searching sje said, "Number one, they should be humble, humility pays. And secondly, one thing about girls is that most of them are materialistic. Yes, when you meet a guy for the first time, you don't just demand, demand, demand, and demand. You have to study the man, know who he really is, and then if he's someone you can spend the rest of your life with. They should also be prayerful."

On the factors that contribute to the demanding nature of some young girls which are a put-off for most men in relationship, she had this to say, “In my opinion, sometimes most of them, when the guy has nothing and they've been with the guy. Then when suddenly the guy has money, he will just leave them and go for another lady. Sometimes it's caused by situations like that, why sometimes it's from the girl, it's just her person, not because anyone has disappointed them or anything. It's just their character for the majority of them,” she opined.
