Chief Francis Boumiebi JP, a frontline chairmanship aspirant on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, along with his wife, Mrs. Maureen Boumiebi, on Sunday, December 3, 2023, hosted families and friends to an after-thanksgiving anniversary party to celebrate his survival over a fatal car accident that occured almost a year ago, as well as mark his 23rd marriage anniversary.

It would be recalled that Chief Boumiebi, a philanthropist and the founder of the Chief Francis Boumiebi Foundation, survived a fatal road car accident alongside his brother, Mr. Wilfred Boumiebi, on December 12, 2022, during the PDP Ward to Ward campaign.

On Sunday, December 3, 2023, after the Thanksgiving at the Holy Ghost Dominion Bible Church off Jakpa Road in Effurun, the reception ceremony held at his residence in the NigerCat area in Effurun, and was attended by family members, political associates, friends and other well-wishers.

Among some of the guests in attendance are the chairman of PDP in Delta South Senatorial District, Hon. Dr. Julius Takeme JP; the Commissioner for Housing in Delta State, Hon. Godknows Angele; the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Western Zone, Dr. Doubra Okotete; Mr. Joseph Ziko, MD/CEO of Ziko and Sons Limited among other prominent guests.

On ground at the reception party, which flagged-off by noon, was Prince Smally Okpe and his Izon music band who entertained guests with melodic tunes.

Chief Boumiebi, who is aspiring for the seat of chairman in Burutu LG Council, is traditionally the Ogungbeinwei and the Kariwei of Ogulagha and Obotebe kingdoms, respectively. He is also the Coordinator of the Delta Political Vanguard in Burutu Local Government Chapter, and a party campaign committee member of the PDP in Burutu LGA in charge of culture and traditional affairs.
