Despite the presence of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Warri South-West Constituency, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, and other male dignitaries, it all seem like a feminine affair at the marriage reception of the Niger Delta entrepreneur and self-styled Amasisetuwapere 1, Engr. Kudos Ogelegbanwei, whose marriage to his beloved wife, Mrs. Ufuoma, drew various women groups from across Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, who not only showered the couple with massive love but also added glamour to the celebration.

The marriage reception which held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the Warri Ramp (formerly Shell Ramp) near Enerhen Junction in Warri was chaired by the President of the Gbaramatu Youth Council, GYC, Worldwide, Comr. Shadrach Ebikeme.

The Amasisetuwapere 1 and his beautiful wife, who earlier were at the Eagle Wings Gospel Church Int'l for their Solemnization of Holy Matrimony, arrived the reception venue few hours after noon to the waiting crowd of women groups. With two lines formed and with the couple at the middle, the women ushered them into the decorated venue in company of bouncers that coordinated the movement.

Prominent among the various Ijaw women groups are the Top Ladies of Gbaramatu Kingdom led by its chairlady, the Toimelemo-ere, Chief (Mrs) Ebidoumene Ojogun, wife of the Kurowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Chief Jeffrey Ojogun. This women group see themselves as the peak among women groups and are always on spot in any occasion.

Next, is the Warri Beke women group, led by their leader, the woman-entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mrs Preye Keniye, who is the wife of Hon. Jimoh Keniye, once a special assistant to the deputy governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro.

Also in attendance is another women group, Expensive Ladies led by their chairwoman, Mrs Destiny Ojogun, wife of Hon. Kelvin Ojogun, Chief Executive of Mr. Xpensive Clothing and the councilor representing Kokodiagbene and Benikrukru in the Warri South-West Local Government Council legislative chambers.

Also in attendance among the various women groups are the Big Sisters of Gbaramatu Kingdom led by Mrs. Mary Ojuana and the Ofunama Young Ladies of Warri led by Mrs. Kate Marshal, who all added colour to the ceremony with their beautiful native attires consisting of blouse, wrappers and gele.

From the attendance it is not hard to deduce that the bride was a very popular identity among her women folks to have drew such a crowd. And these women groups did not disappoint her as they seem to compete for space, attention, and even in the presentation of gifts to the couple. Moreover, while taking up their positions at various locations in the spacious reception venue, these women displayed beautiful Ijaw dance steps to the tunes of Chief Kingsley Takemebo and his Izon band.

According to the chairman of the occasion, Hon. Ebikeme, in his counsel to the couple charged the wife to keep supporting her husband especially through her prayers for his success. He prayed God increase and bless the couple in their homes while wishing them all the best in their union.

Popular MCs Abioka, Collabo, Mr. Right and Be Delight added humour to the celebration, particularly when MC Abioka put the Amasisetuwapere1 to the test by challenging him to take two steps to reach his wife whom the MC had told to stay several meters away from her beloved husband.

"I am short of words but I'm very grateful to everyone for showing me and my husband much love," the bride cum wife told PENGlobal Social amidst smiles.

When also asked what message she has for young girls that are still searching for their partner, she gleefully responded, "They should calm down. One day God who did for me will do it for them. And as a woman that is searching don't be too proud, be submissive. One day, you will get your own," she counseled.
