LET LOVE LEAD IN ODIDI FEDERATED COMMUNITY: A Call to Peaceful Transition and Community Renewal By Amb. Truston Gbenekama
In every great community, there comes a defining moment when the people must choose between the path of progress and the path of self-interest; between collective destiny and personal ambition; between peace and needless conflict. For Odidi Federated Community, this moment is now. And the only force that can guide the community into a future of harmony, stability, and development is Love.
✅ LOVE AS THE FOUNDATION OF TRUE LEADERSHIP
Leadership was never meant to be a battlefield of ego or a contest of stubbornness. In a federated community such as Odidi, leadership is a sacred trust—one that should be exercised with humility, fairness, and deep concern for the wellbeing of all. When love leads, leadership becomes service, not struggle; responsibility, not rivalry.
But too often, our noble community has been clouded by a consistent attitude of refusal—refusal to allow peaceful transitions, refusal to accept the will of the people, refusal to honour agreed processes, and refusal to let unity triumph over personal preference. This lingering attitude has sown tension, weakened trust, and slowed the progress that Odidi so richly deserves.
✅ PEACEFUL TRANSITION: THE TRUE TEST OF MATURITY
A community grows when its leaders understand that power is transient, but legacy is eternal. True leadership is not measured by how long one holds a position, but by how gracefully one hands over when the time comes. Odidi Federated Community must reject the old pattern of resistance and embrace a new era where transitions are peaceful, orderly, and dignified.
When transitions are peaceful, relationships are preserved, youths are inspired, projects continue without disruption, the community’s reputation grows stronger, unity becomes the collective identity of the people.
Peaceful transition is not a sign of weakness—it is a demonstration of wisdom, maturity, and love for community.
✅ A NEW HEART FOR ODIDI FEDERATED
Let Love Lead means: Let love overcome the pride that fuels conflict. Let love silence the voices that whisper division. Let love bring together elders, youth, leaders, women and families. Let love restore trust where it has been broken. Let love make service more important than titles.
The greatness of Odidi will not come from who holds office, but from how we treat one another—especially in moments of change. When we let love lead, transitions become opportunities for renewal, not occasions for rebellion.
✅ A CALL TO EVERY SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF ODIDI FEDERATED COMMUNITY
Let us rise above past patterns. Let us break the cycle of resistance. Let us prove to the world that Odidi Federated Community is a community guided by wisdom, maturity, and unity. The future we desire—peaceful, prosperous, and progressive—begins with a simple commitment:
✅ LET LOVE LEAD
When love leads, Odidi Federated Community will soar. When love leads, transitions will be peaceful, when love leads, we will see leadership as call to Service rather than title for self aggrandisement, When love leads, our children will inherit a community of honour and hope.
The Comrade Prince Preye Okrikpa- led Administration will complete its tenure in a few months from now. Let Love Lead, let's shun VIOLENCE and avoid DIVISION, but move for a peaceful transition process and stand signified as young man with vision and higher Aspirations.
The past and the present Youth leadership of Odidi Federated Community should charge a new collective course of development and avoid been caught in the politics of DIVISION.
May Odidi Federated Community stand tall, united, and guided by the eternal power of love.
Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year in advance
