LATE JENNY ZIPAMONE UKULOR: The Ukulor's Note of Appreciation to Sympathisers and Well-wishers
To the glory of the Almighty God, the funeral rites of our dear golden mother, the Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi), who departed this plane called Earth on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, have come and gone successfully, marked with a Service of Songs ceremony on Monday, March 11, 2024, and followed by a social wake-keep ceremony on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Odimodi Town in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
It is only appropriate that, despite the sadness that has enveloped us through the loss of our ever loving mother, we, the Ukulor family, deem it fit to express our solemn gratitude in appreciation to the celestial being in Heaven and to men on Earth for the success.
On the above note we tender our sincere gratitude, first, to the Almighty God, who in His will and power desire all things in His set time. We trust Him in the loss of our mother as we couldn't love her more than God loves her. However, our gratitude to God is not on the loss of our loving mother, but in His protection over all guests in attendance during the course of the elaborate ceremonies, especially as no incident or accidents were recorded.
Secondly, we thank the numerous hosts of visitors whose presence at the ceremonies the Almighty used to soothe our pain and gave us the needed courage and strength to do the needful required of us, which is to give our ever loving mother a befitting burial. We couldn't have done it without your company.
Even though the names are numerous, we couldn't avoid identifying some personalities worth mentioning, in the likes of High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Hon. Spencer Okpoye, Chief Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Chief (Hon.) McDonald Igbadiwei, and a host of other dignitaries.
We are also grateful to the Gbaramatu Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs, as well as chiefs in Odimodi Town for turning up in their large numbers. We also thank members of the Gbaramatu Ibe Gbolei and other associations present on ground that added colours to the ceremony.
Notably, we are indebted to members of the Cherubim and Seraphim church especially those of New Bethlehem Zion, Inikorogha in Gbaramatu Kingdom where our loving mother worshipped until her demise. We thank all the ministers that participated in the ceremonies and for their spiritual support in prayers.
Lastly, we will not forget to acknowledge our family members both in Gbaramatu Kingdom and in Odimodi Town for their unparallel efforts in physical, spiritual, and otherwise.
It is our sincere and utmost prayers that the Lord Almighty who sees all of your efforts in secret and in the open will reward every one accordingly as He deems fit. We also pray for the mercies of God (knowing that death is inevitable) that we will all live longer than our parents and that when next we meet it shall be for the celebration of life in Jesus name, Amen.
Once again, we say THANK YOU and God bless you all.
Signed:
THE UKULOR FAMILY
