LATE ERUAPHURHI UMUKORO: Chief Linus Yeinanagbegha, Others Honour Mother In-Law, Shut Down Umolo-Olomu

The Perewonibuominiwei of Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Linus Yeinanagbegha JP, accompanied by families, friends and other sympathisers, stormed Umolo-Olomu in Ughelli South L.G.A. of the state in an entourage mode for the funeral ceremony of Late Madam Eruaphurhi Josephine Umukoro, his mother in-law, on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

The funeral ceremony which held at the Umolo Primary School and was officiated by the God's Grace Ministry Inc. Worldwide, with numerous guests from across the state in attendance, had the Perewonibuominiwei and his guests added a colourful ambience to the ceremony as they sympathised with his in-laws and atrempted to make them cheerful.

The brief funeral ceremony which featured processional hymn, a sermon of admonition, reading of the biography of the deceased, was wrapped up with a procession to and consecration of the grave side, before the remains of the Late Madam Eruaphurhi Josephine Umukoro was laid to rest in her residence.

Entertainment session which followed in the school field had Ijaw highlife musician Prince Isaba Abraham thrilled guests to izon tunes, while foods, drinks and gifts went round, courtesy of the Perewonibuominiwei.

Mrs. Ufuoma Yeinanagbegha, daughter of the deceased and wife to the Perewonibuominiwei, in her tribute, described her mother as a peace loving person who loves to do good deeds and a lover of God.

She said, "Mama is a very honest mother; she will not use your right as wrong; she will not use your wrong as right. I grew up to understand that she loves people who are doing good things. She loves going to church ; she dislikes dirtiness; she loves to help anyone that is ready to do good things. She is a peaceful person."

Among some of the personalities that accompanied the Perewonibuominiwei are Chief Isepagha Willie JP, Chief Prefugha Karawei JP, Chief Emaye Benidewei JP, Chief Emmanuel Potoki JP, Chief Francis Odibo-Satu, Chief General Israel Timiyan JP, Chief Francis Boumiebi JP, Chief George Timiyan JP, Chief Felix Ebah, Chief T M.O. Douglas JP Ph.D, Chief (Mrs.) Juliet Benidewei JP, Chief (Mrs.) Ebikebina Benidewei JP, Field Barr. & Mrs. Akougbobo Michael, and a host of other personalities.

The Late Madam Eruaphurhi Josephine Umukoro who passed away at the age of 69 years, according to her biography, was the sixth born of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ewhrudjakpo of Umolo-Olomu. She got married to bLate Patrick Amreywoyugbo and the union produced one child, Jeffrey Edafevwotu. She later left for another due to circumstances beyond her control, and got married to Late Miller and gave birth to four children Ese, Ufuoma, Charles, and Late Mrs.  Raphael. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
