IPSS: Ndiomu Congratulates Okaba, Describes INC President as Iconic Leader
The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu, has congratulated the president of the Ijaw National Congress, Professor Benjamin Okaba, on his recent investiture ceremony as a Fellow of the Institute of Peace and Security Studies, IPSS.
Recall that Prof. Okaba, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, was homoured by the university's Centre for Peace and Security Studies in a ceremony marking the 2023 International Day of Peace at the Ebitimi Banigo Hall.
Ndiomu, in his congratulatory message, described Prof. Okaba as an icon who has distinguished himself in leadership, serving the Ijaw Nation and piloting the affairs of the highest Ijaw ethnic body in the country as president.
The Interim Administrator of PAP, prayed that God Almighty continue to grant Prof. Okaba the recognition he deserves for all his positive contributions to the society and the country at large.
He further wished the INC President the best of all his pursuits and for him to have the good health and wisdom to continue to address the challenges of the Ijaw Nation.
Continuing, the amnesty boss wish Prof. Okaba many more achievements with God's blessings and protection, and urged the INC President to remain committed to the advancement of peaceful coexistence and security of the Ijaw Nation and Nigeria at large.
The investiture ceremony had in attendance the vice chancellor of the University of Port-Harcourt; Prof. Owunari Georgewill; the deputy vice chancellor, academic; Prof. Kingsley Ifeanyi; the deputy vice chancellor, administration; Prof. Clifford Ofurum; the deputy vice chancellor, research and development, Prof. Iyeopu Siminialayi.
Others are, the registrar; Dr. Gloria Chinda, the director of Centre for Peace and Security Studies (CPSS); Prof. Martin Ifeanacho, dean of the faculty of social sciences; Prof. Nekabari Johnson NNA, Dr. Felicia Ayuwo, Dr. Helen Emasealu, and many other academic dons and political elites, some of whom were represented by very important personalities across boards.
