3RD CONVENTION: NADIS President Leads Delegation on Visit to Lawuru, Hails Egbema Leader

The President of the National Association of Delta Ijaw Students (NADIS) Worldwide, Comrade Aweh Johnson, has led a delegation of students, student leaders and members of the Convention Planning Committee on a courtesy visit to High Chief Promise Lawuru ahead of the forthcoming 3rd NADIS Mega Elective Convention.

The visit, which took place at the philanthropist’s office earlier this week in Warri, Delta State, provided an opportunity for the delegation to brief the Egbema Kingdom leader on preparations for the NADIS convention and seek his counsel, encouragement and support towards its success.

According to Comrade Aweh, High Chief Lawuru warmly received the delegation and reiterated his commitment to the advancement, welfare and development of students.

He added that the student-loving leader graciously accepted to identify with the convention as its Chief Host, a development the NADIS leadership described as a further demonstration of his support for the student community.

The NADIS Worldwide President expressed appreciation to High Chief Lawuru for his warm reception, valuable counsel and sustained support for students.

“As we continue preparations for the convention, we call on stakeholders, student leaders, community leaders, leaders across the Ijaw Nation, as well as all lovers and supporters of students, to join hands with us towards a successful and impactful convention,” Johnson stated.

The 3rd NADIS Mega Elective Convention is expected to bring together students, leaders and other stakeholders for deliberations and the election of new leaders for the organisation.
