FUNERAL: Glory as Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi) Last Wish Fulfilled

18 Mar, 2024

The Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor (Nee Deribi), who lived a godly life according to the testament of her biography and from other tributes, was not only honoured with a Christian funeral rite in line with her belief, but was laid to rest in a Bible-shaped casket on Friday, March 15, 2024, in fulfillment of her request before her passing on November 15, 2023.

The Late Mrs Jenny Zipamone Ukulor last request on being committed to Mother Earth in a Bible-shaped casket reinforced her dedication to the Christian life and that the Bible is indeed the solid foundation upon which her faith is built on. As such, nothing would please the late mother, grandmother and great grandmother of seven children, 22 grand children and two great grandchildren other than being honoured at her last ceremony on Earth the godly way.

As soon as her remains arrived Odimodi Town in Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday, March 14, a Christian funeral service was conducted with various ministers such as Apst. Mathias Amaye, Rev. Joel Azapere, Pst. Samson Itipkan, among others officiating at the ceremony.

Among the activities that held at her funeral include the singing of hymns, scriptural readings, presentation of the biography of the Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor, tributes from her paternal and maternal families, sermons by various ministers, prayers among other spiritual activities.

All of the sermons delivered at the funeral were all centered on the need for those in attendance to emulate the exemplary and godly life lived by the Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor who desired to serve God by the standards of her good works.

For instance, quite impressive was her determination to learn, despite not having any formal education, how to read the Bible in her quest to know God's instructions to mankind. Such was the demonstration of her zeal to know Her Maker while on the Earth. And she failed not in bringing up her children in that line also.

The Christian funeral ceremony continued briefly on Friday morning after a social wake-keep with members of the Cherubim and Seraphim church performing the last honour before her internment.

The Late Mrs. Jenny Zipamone Ukulor was married to Late Pa. Wolo Ukulor, the founder and head of New Bethlehem Zion in Inikorogha community, Gbaramatu Kingdom. She is often described as an accommodative and tolerant woman, a prudent and resourceful business woman, a loving mother that pursued the principles of fidelity, honesty, obedience and respect for elders, and above all, the fear of God. May her golden soul sleep peacefully in the Bosom of the Creator, Amen.
