updated 19 Feb, 2024

It was a day of rejoicing as friends and well-wishers joined the Bebenimibo family on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, for the 60th Birthday Anniversary celebration of Mrs. Ogo-Oluwa Tamar-Ebijor Asia Moses, the eldest child of the Late Pa. Apst. Asia Bebenimibo (of blessed memory).

The colourful ceremony kicked-off in the afternoon after a Thanksgiving Service that held in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Bibopere Zion (Divine Solution Center) as part of the activities marking the celebrant's Diamond Jubilee.

The beautiful celebrant, who made her entry into the venue of the celebration in an orange-coloured outfit that matched those of her husband, Prophet Moses Guade, a citizen from Egini community in Udu L.G.A. of Delta State, received doses of commendations from families, friends and other well-wishers during the course of the celebration. Among those who poured encomium on the celebrant include her brothers, her children, grandchildren and other well-wishers.

"Today, we are celebrating the birthday of my elder sister," said Capt. Jacob Bebenimibo, a brother to the celebrant during a brief chat with PENGlobal Social. "She is the eldest daughter of our late father, Apst. Asia Bebenimibo. And it is a joy for us to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee because she is a very good, caring and loving sister.

"My wish for her is that this is just a stepping stone; she will grow more older than her generations and live longer than her ancestors. There will be no untimely death," he prayed.

One of the celebrant's daughter, Mrs. Gbelade Timi Oluba, in her brief chat described her mother as "a good mother to her children, grand children, and to everybody" while she also thanked God for making her mother to see her 60th birthday, with wishes and prayers of "long life, prosperity, more days, more wisdom, more knowledge, and that she will eat the fruit of her labour in Jesus name, Amen."

Also speaking on behalf of the celebrant's brothers during goodwill message presentation, Mr. Elijah Bebenimibo said the celebrant is a rallying force in uniting the family. He further described his elder sister as "a good mother, sister, and aunt to everyone she meets in life" just as he prayed "for more celebrations to come" while he returned the glory to God.

On behalf of the children, Mr. Ebizi Sinwa, noted that the celebrant is a loving mother to all her children just as the children love their mother so much, stressing further that "we cannot stay without our mother, even at midnight we call on her", and added specifically that "When you look at my life today, you're seeing my mother. Everything about my mother belongs to me," he said amidst laughter from the audience.

Mr. Sinwa also used the opportunity to thank some of his uncles in the likes of Dr. Job Bebenimibo, Chief Ebi Bebenimibo, Elder Jacob Bebenimibo, and so many others who came through for him, particularly in his education, because of his mother.

Meanwhile, the grandchildren of the celebrant, who were represented by Miss Seigha, confessed that “Our grandmother is one of the best people in the world because every first day of the month she will call each and everyone of us (all her grandchildren), one by one to wish us all a Happy New Month. And then, on every holidays she will call to ensure everything is okay.”

She prayed that it is the desire of the grandchildren to God that He grant their grandmother long life so that they will be able to return the favour of showing care for her just as she did to them. She also prayed for the audience saying, “As we come back again in the next 10 years to celebrate her 70th anniversary, I hope to see all of you here again.”

Among others who also delivered goodwill message is the chairlady of Bibopere Zion, one Mrs. Boumieye, who, like the others described the celebrant as "a very good woman" whose kind is rare. She prayed for open doors and that the celebrant whom she declared as their "woman leader" will not see untimely death and sickness.
