BIRTHDAY APPRECIATION: GYC President Mr. Egbejule Arerebo Kingsley Pens Powerful Note of Thanks

24 Aug, 2024

According to Gertrude Stein, a novelist, poet, playwright, and art collector, "Silent gratitude isn't very much to anyone." It is on that note that I deem it fit to tender this goodwill message in appreciation of the love shown towards my personality on the occasion of my birth anniversary.

As the President of the umbrella body of Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC), it is not unexpected on the massive love as expressed in the messages of congratulations, wishes and prayers of blessings that I received from well-wishers in and outside Gbaramatu Kingdom.

I feel privileged to be celebrated and in all I humbly submit with thanksgiving to the Almighty God for the grace. For one, such recognition which arose by virtue of the office I occupy is also a revelation that, while I am reaping such an honour in recognition, also behoves on me another greater responsibility, which is to utilise that office in service to humanity, who in this case are the vibrant youths of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

I accepted the above task in the first instance hence my resolve to lead the youth body and I am more buoyed by the love demonstrated on my birthday to do much more by giving the very best of me towards promoting and upholding the ideals of the youth body.

I thank every one (fellow exco members, leaders and other Gbaramatu youths in general among others) who sent in messages, expended their hard earned resource to wish me a joyous celebration, as well as put calls across on the phone for same. All I can say is THANK YOU.

It is my prayers that at your own time God will lift many to celebrate and rejoice with you too. As you add smiles on my face, so too your smiles, joy, happiness will never expire in life by the special grace of God, that is my utmost prayer for you all.
