To the Almighty God we return all the glory on the successful funeral rites of our late iconic and golden father, leader, and adviser, Late Chief John Brawuru Diegbegha JP (A.K.A Yeye-Dey, Na God O!), the Ebenikarewei of Ogulagha kingdom in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, and Chairman, Ogulagha Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs, Ogulagha Community Chapter, which held in Ogulagha main town on Friday, March 1, and Monday, March 4, 2024.

We sincerely thank His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. Dr. King Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan JP, Torububou 1, Agbonu, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, and the Ogulagha Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs for their royal blessings and support towards making the burial of our loving father, a huge success. You demonstrated incomparable love by the efforts put in and we lack the right words to truly express our immense gratitude.

The support received in giving our dear father a befitting burial was indeed mind boggling. To mention all of the names who contributed financially would take days to read out. And so we express in general terms our appreciation to ALL who contributed toward the burial success, not only financially but otherwise. From the Gbaramatu Kingdom axis in Warri South-West Local Government Area to various personalities and communities in Ogulagha Kingdom, we are immensely grateful. Most particularly we appreciate the burial committee members for their untiring efforts in planning and putting together resources towards organising a befitting burial.

We are also appreciative of the Diegbegha family and other relatives for their tireless roles that ensured that the last honour in giving our peace loving father a befitting burial was a success. We thank every one of you and pray God reward your efforts mightily.

Lastly, to everyone that participated in the burial ceremonies and expended their resources as well as played critical roles while the burial lasted, we thank you too. From the musicians to the media teams, we appreciate you. Above all, the people of Ogulagha community were wonderful for the reception they offered.

It is our prayers that the Almighty God protects every one of us, raise caliber of men and women to come to your aid just as you did for us, and cause every one of us to rejoice (not weep) even at our lowest point in life in Jesus name we pray, Amen!
