The Gbanale Family, acknowledged with sad reflections this day (Saturday, January 4th 2025) as marking the 5th year of the departure from the Earthly plane by our beloved golden father, Hon. Sup. Snr. Apst. High Chief Joel Ebi Gbanale, the Toibenemowei of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Yes, it has been five years today, but the memories seemed very fresh like it was just yesterday that we had to brace up to the sad news of your departing from this imperfect world. Not a day goes by that we don't miss your presence, your cares, your support, your show of love, your disciplines, your prayers, your guidance, your stories...

If death could be paid off, compensated or swayed, we would have paid the sum required so you could still be here with us, because the vacuum created by your absence as caused by death is such that it can't be filled so simply. Indeed, no one can match up with your unique qualities.

It is not only our family that misses you, the kingdom also misses you. You were known for your acts of indiscrimination; a father to all and a leader who is more concerned for the good of the generality of the people; a man that puts the interest of the community before self, seeing everyone as family

Our golden ever loving father, continue to rest peacefully in the Bosom of the Lord Almighty until the day of reawakening. For us, we will endeavour to make you proud wherever you are by positively building on the legacies you left for us your children. We love you, but God loves you most.
