In the history books of the New Jerusalem Zion in Oporoza Town, the headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, a new chapter was added when the son of the founder (St. Apst. Elijah Brakoru Ubebe) of the church, Snr. Boan. Edward Temeakpor Ubebe, was officially installed as the Minister in charge of the Cherubim and Seraphim church.

Earlier, the New Jerusalem Zion had began preparation through a week's programme that started on Monday 11, as part of the 53rd Conference, and that culminated on Sunday 17, with the installation ceremony performed by His Holiness, Rt. Rev. Dr. Epistle Jemine JP+, the Mienkirigbolomowei II of Zion Mission Worldwide.

On Sunday, the 53rd Conference kicked off with procession around Oporoza Town, and thereafter members assembled in the church premises for a series of spiritual activities such as choir ministration of songs of praise, reading of Bible lessons, meditation, and words of exhortation from various ministers in attendance.

The colourful ceremony cascaded by the varieties of assorted garments (the official fashion wear of the C&S worshippers) were a beautiful sight to behold. The atmosphere was spiritually supercharged during the church service marking the 53rd Conference, which was wrapped up with the installation of Snr. Boan. Ubebe, moving him from the rank of Acting Minister to Minister in Charge.

In a brief chat with PENGlobal Social, Snr. Boan. Ubebe, who had long prayed for the installation, returned the glory to the Almighty God as well as thanked the ministers and other worshippers for being a part of history.

In his words, "First and foremost I give thanks to God who made everything possible for my installation as Minister in Charge of the New Jerusalem Zion, Oporoza.

"I send my note of appreciation to the King of Zion, His Holiness Rt. Rev. Dr. Epistle Jemine JP+, the Mienkirigbolomowei II of Zion Mission Worldwide, Bolowu National Headquarters, Ondo State, who deemed it fit to make his presence available for the installation.

"Thirdly, I greet all believers particularly the various ministers from other Cherubim and Seraphim churches in Gbaramatu Kingdom and beyond, who came together to make the ceremony a successful one.

"I also salute all the men, women, youths of Oporoza Zion as well as all others who supported me financially, physically and otherwise. I pray that God will provide for as many who supported me financially, physically and morally in Jesus name, Amen," he added.

Before his ascension as Minister in Charge, the Snr. Boan. Ubebe who began his ministerial career as a Cherubin and later Senior Cherub, was formerly in the ranks of an Apostle, Senior Apostle, Alakoso, Baba Alakoso, Omo-Ogun Christi, Boanerge, Senior Boanerge, and then Acting Minister in Charge until on the 28th of January 2024 when his position as Acting Minister was ratified and he was selected, appointed, and approved as Minister in Charge of New Jerusalem Zion, unanimously by all the elders, women and youths of the Zion.
