25TH CHORISTERS ANNIVERSARY: New Jerusalem Zion Choirs and the Divine Purpose of Creation

updated 13 Nov, 2024

In consonance with the theme of 'Let Everything That Has Breath Praise The Lord' with reference to the Bible texts of Psalm 150:6 and Hebrew 2:12, the choristers (choirs) of the New Jerusalem Zion Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oporoza Town in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, demonstrated the divine purpose of humanity at its 25th Choristers Anniversary / Silver Jubilee Celebration on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

Snr. Boan. Amas Aloro (JP)

The choirs, dressed in their beautiful white garment outfits designed with a blend of colours such as orange and blue among others, performed their spiritual roles of offering worship and praises to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords in the course of ministration as is typical in the C&S mode.

Speaking on the importance of rendering praises to God, a guest in the programme, Senior Boanerge Amas Aloro (JP), the Minister-in-Charge of the Crown Church of Zion, hinted on the divine will of God for humans which is centered on praise and worship.

"I said that in the book of Isaiah 43:21, it says, 'This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.' So what God required from man is to give Him praise. God can do everything on Earth, but the only thing that He cannot do for Himself is to give Himself praises. So what we are meant for on this planet earth is to give God the praises.

"He has given us the breath because He has already endowed us with that breath, long life and prosperity. So what remains in our life is to give Him the utmost praise that we should not give to any other thing. And He's jealous of that. He's the only person that is required of this glory and He's the only One we should give it," he stressed.

Snr. Boan. Aloro further charge Christians to remove their focus on frivolities, but to instead focus on praising God especially as the forces of evil are eager to stop praises from God's children.

"As Christians, we should not focus on any other thing rather than to give God the praise, than to argue with one another with unnecessary things. Because now, the world has come to a stage whereby the forces on this earth are fighting Christians to bring down the glory of God.

“So we have to come together and give him that unique and wonderful praise. God bless us in Jesus' name.”

The 25th Choristers Anniversary ceremony also witnessed fund raising in support of the New Jerusalem Zion choirs and the church.
