YOUTH ELECTION: Comr. Uduboh-led IYC Congratulates GYC Exco, Commends Eleco

The foremost Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, as led by its chairman, Comr. Uduboh Peter, has congratulated the President of the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) Worldwide, Mr. Egbejule Kingsley, and his executive members.

This was made known by the Gbaramatu IYC Secretary General, Comr. Wazo Oyinkuro, in a text on Monday, March 4, 2024.

The IYC, whose National President Lokpobiri Jonathan was a guest at the GYC National and Elective Convention that held on Friday in Oporoza community, noted that the process that brought about the new government of Mr. Egbejule is worth commending and emulating by other youth bodies in the Niger Delta region.

Comr. Uduboh further stated that the Gbaramatu structure of the IYC is ever committed to work hand in hand with its counterpart body, the GYC, in promoting and advancing the affairs of Gbaramatu youths.

Part of the congratulatory message reads:

"We, the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Gbaramatu Kingdom structure, hereby congratulate our brother and leader, Mr. Egbejule Kingsley, as well as his fellow exco members in their emergence to pilot the affairs of the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC).

"As IYC, we promise to work with the leadership of the GYC to ensure that Gbaramatu youths are not left behind in terms of empowerment, employment and job security among others.

"We also commend the process of the GYC election and must say here that the electoral committee and other stakeholders involved have set the pace and standard as to how elections should be conducted, especially as it involves Ijaw youths.

"We wish the Mr. Egbejule-led GYC the best as it begins the journey of leadership to fulfill its promises to the youths of Gbaramatu Kingdom who are filled with expectations. May God grant this current GYC leadership the grace to excel, Amen," Comr. Uduboh added.
