WEDDING: At Last, Ari and Harry Become One in Solemnization of Holy Matrimony
Facing the multitude of guests seated in attendance at the St. Peter's Anglican Church, Warri, Delta State, the Venerable Matthew Olobia, from the altar declared, "I now present to you the latest couple, husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ari Patrick!"
That announcement by the Venerable was greeted by the assembly of families, friends and well-wishers with a loud applaus, while the latest couple beamed excitedly with smiles and waved to their guests whose presence there was an honour to them both. In that very moment, what started out as a dream for the newlyweds had suddenly manifested into an accomplishment.
Earlier, the bride-cum-wife, in her milk-coloured wedding gown was ushered into the church assembly by his aged father, Pa. Oyeta Harry, and into the altar where the officiating ministers which include Rev'd Canon Dr. C. C. Amadi JP, Rev'd Dr. Faith K. Aghe, Rev'd Beenard A. Omoko, and Rev'd Young K. O. Iyomih.
The groom, decked in blue suit, and his bride, both exchanged their marital vows before the officiating ministers with the wedding ceremony witnessed by guests that made up the assembly in the St. Peter's Anglican Church.
The marital vows were sealed by the newlyweds with a kiss before they both proceeded, along with some members of their families, to sign the marriage register of the church in order to obtain their certificate of union.
Among other highlights of the brief ceremony include prayers for the newlyweds who also performed their first thanksgiving at the end of the ceremony, a sermon by Rev'd Omoko, and a group photograph session.
In celebration of their union, the newlyweds converged with family members, friends, and other well-wishers at the neighbourhood BB Hotel in Deco Road, Warri, for a reception ceremony.
