Comrade Esther David, popularly known as The Queen of the South, has congratulated Hon. Sylvester Oromoni,  the People's Democratic Party, PDP, chairman for Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, for emerging victorious in the LG polls of July 13, 2024.

The versatile political diva said that the emergence of Hon. Oromoni as the elected chairman of Warri South-West LGA is a true reflection of the will of the people in the constituency.

The founder of the Esther David Foundation (EDF) also thanked party faithfuls and supporters of the ruling PDP for rallying behind the candidates of the party by their voting massively for its candidates despite the rains experienced on the day of the election.

"The Divine Mandate of our qualified chairmanship candidate of the PDP for Warri South-West, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, as well as other candidates that emerged victorious in the July 13 polls is a demonstration of the will of the people which is an aftermath of the vigorous campaigns embarked upon by the ruling PDP," she said.

"I am grateful to the countless supporters who came out to exercise their civic responsibility to cast their vote for our trusted candidate in Warri South-West and as well as for other candidates if the party," she noted.

The political diva also reassured the people of the constituency of the willingness of the Hon. Oromoni-led LG Council to deliver effective representation as promised.

Meanwhile, in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Protocol, Government House, Mr A.N. Tetsola, the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Monday, July 15, 2024, swear in the newly elected chairmen of the 25 LG councils in the state following Saturday’s LG elections conducted by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC.
