TRIBUTES: All White Night of Tributes/Praise in Honour of Late Rev. (Mrs.) Adetola Emman-imeleye
Wednesday, the 7th day of February 2024, was a day of reflection as families, friends, and other sympathisers of the Late Rev. (Mrs.) Emman-imeleye Olufumilayo Bidemi Adetola, gathered at the Ekpan District Headquarters of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Ekpan, Delta State, for an 'All-White Night of Tributes/Praise' in honour and in celebration of the impact made by the departed God's General.
Married to Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Imeleye, the District Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Ekpan, the Late Rev. (Mrs.) Emman-Imeleye who passed away on the 7th of January 2024 is often described as "a personality that inspires in all frontiers" and "as an achiever, goal getter, hard worker, loving, caring, high intellect, eloquent public speaker, teacher, lecturer, examiner, right focused, embedded humanity, submissive in marriage" as well as lived a "strict religious life".
The All-White Night of Tributes/Praise which began 3pm in the Foursquare Gospel Church, featured praise session from different choir presentation and an outpouring of tributes from family members, friends and others who knew the Late Rev. (Mrs.) Emman-Imeleye.
The tribute section brought back memories and stirred feelings of emotions among attendants during the service as many gave testimonies of the impactful life of the deceased who will surely be missed by all.
In his tribute, Rev. Dr. Imeleye said his late wife practiced submission and gave her total support in the home, and that, among other qualities, as a preacher and teacher, she was called into ministry to impart others. Below is the full tributes:
"In the tapestry of my life, you, my dearest Rev. (Mrs.) Emman-Imeleye Olufumilayo Bidemi Adetola, was the vibrant thread that wove together love, faith, and purpose. As my beloved wife, your unwavering support and submission filled our home with harmony and warmth. Your love for our children knew no bounds, nurturing them with boundless affection and guidance that shaped their very souls.
"Your eloquence as a public speaker stirred hearts and minds, leaving an indelible mark on all who has the privilege of listening to you. As a teacher, you instilled knowledge and wisdom, cultivating curious minds and nurturing a thirst for learning. Your role as a preacher was not just a vocation, but a calling, as you shared the light of God's love with humility and grace.
"Beyond your roles within our family and community, your administrative skills and charitable nature touched countless lives. You selflessly dedicated yourself to serving others, leaving a legacy of kindness and compassion that will endure for generations to come.
"Above all, your uncompromising dedication and service of God, the use of your talents, potentials, skills, resources, and time in serving God, are indelible testimonies of your strict and enviable Christian life.
"Though you have departed this earthly realm, your spirit lives on in the countless lives you've touched and thr love that continues to surround us. Until we are reunited in the embrace of eternity, I will carry your memory in my heart, forever grateful for the blessing of having shared my life with you."
The Late Rev. (Mrs.) Emman-Imeleye will be buried on Friday, February 9, 2024, in Benikrukru community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, after a brief funeral service.
