TRIBUTE: “The vacuum created by your departure cannot be easily filled” — Ijaw CAN to Late Rev. Mrs. Emman-imeleye
The Ijaw Christian Association of Nigeria (ICAN), an umbrella body of Christians in the Ijaw Nation, has said that the recent departure of the wife of the popular Rev. Emmanuel Imeleye of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Late Rev. Mrs. Adetola Emman-imeleye, has created a huge vacuum in the Christian-fold that cannot be easily filled.
The association of Christians made this known in a tribute addressed to the Late Rev. Mrs. Emman-Imeleye, and that was signed by its President and General Secretary, Pastor Eyiki Ekpolade, and Apostle Mike Ubebe PhD, respectively.
According to ICAN in its tribute, one of the reasons for the vacuum created in the body is the exhibition of love by the deceased in doing the work of God.
The Christian body said the news of the death of the Late Rev. Mrs. Emman-Imeleye came as a "rude shock" to the leadership and members of ICAN as it wasn't expected even though death is a price all must eventually pay until Jesus comes.
The Christian body however said that it took solace in the fact that the Late Rev. Mrs. Emman-Imeleye has served faithfully and finished her work on Earth to join her Father in Heaven.
The ICAN tribute, titled 'Tribute for Rev. Mrs. Adetola Emman-Imeleye', reads as follows:
"The news of your departure came to us with a very rude unbelievable shock! When we first heard it, we prayed that the news be found to be a false news. But no, it wasn't.
"Your commitment and love for God and His work was second to none! The leadership and members of the Ijaw Christian Association of Nigeria (ICAN) will miss your Motherly role for a very long time.
"The vacuum your departure has created cannot be easily filled. We will miss you greatly. Adieu Handmaid of the Lord.
"We take solace in the fact that you have finished well and strong, and you have gone to be with your Father in glory eternally!"
