Kokodiagbene FC has emerged winner in third place position at the ongoing Tompolo Peace and Unity Football competition as the host defeated Kunukunuma FC during the third place encounter on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

The football match which held in the Ebiabu Primary School field ended two goals to nil in favour of Kokodiagbene FC.

The grand finale of the maiden competition comes up on Saturday, December 21, between Benikrukru FC and Oporoza FC as the two teams battle for first place and first runner up position.

This year's competition is part of the activities organised to mark the 17th edition of the Amasuo-Ugeh Festival.

The winner of the competition will go home with the first prize reward of N200,000k while the first, second and third runners-up will go home with N150,000k, N100,000k and N50,000k respectively.

The maiden edition of the competition is organised by the Comrade Pedro Bekenawei-led executive council of Kokodiagbene and Chief George Timiyan JP led Planning Committee of the festival. 

The competition is supervised by the Sports Chairman of Kokodiagbene, Mr. Victor Emotimide, and the Local Organising Committee Chairman, Mr. Williams Akoto.
