On the morning of Saturday (October 5, 2024), the remains of the late Mrs. Koripamor Jeremiah Meeting (Nee Ogouye) was committed to Mother Earth after a brief Christian service at Oporoza community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Earlier, a social wake-keep ceremony, organised by her families, held on Friday night in honour of the late mother, grandmother and great grandmother who passed away at the age of 68 years on May 20, 2024.

The wake-keep ceremony which featured musical and other social entertainment all through the night to keep the bereaved family lively, also witnessed dances by the children, other family members and sympathisers as a way of honouring the departed.

Meanwhile, tributes by the children and grandchildren poured in for the deceased whom they described as "caring and loving mother". Below are some of the tributes collection.

◼️NANCY: To Me You Were The World | “Mama was an inspiring soul, always there for all who came to her with their trouble. Your home was open to everyone and your hospitality made them feel important. To the world you were one person, but to me you were the world. You did not leave millions in your account, but you left a legacy worth much love. No one again to call me. I pray may the good Lord keep you safe in Heaven. We your children miss you. Rest on Mama.”

◼️EBIMOR: Mama Is In A Better Place | “Mama you were such a gentle and loving person. The news of your demise was a shock to me, but you tried and fought it with your heart. Unfortunately, you didn’t make it through. I take solace in the fact that you have gone back to your Maker and I know for sure you’re in a better place. I will miss you. Rest on till we meet to part no more.”

◼️GODSPOWER: Mama Stayed Faithful | “Dear Mama, you had your obligations done, you stayed faithful to your commitments and drove a fair, yet rich life. Your memories will consistently lead us to the correct way. Rest in peace Mama.”

◼️CHRISTY: You Have Created A Big Vacuum | “Mama, you are so lovely, caring and understanding. You always put smile on our faces. Even when you are sick you still show love to all of us. Mama, where are you? Where are your good intentions for us the entire family? You have answered to God’s call. No one can question God. You have created a big vacuum that no one can fill. Both of us fought to make sure you get well, but you didn’t make it. I love you so much, but God loves you most. Sleep on my lovely mother. Goodnight and goodbye. Rest forever.”

◼️GODFREY: Nothing Hurts More Than Losing You | “There is nothing in this world that harms more than losing your mother to the cold hands of death. Dear Mama, rest well.”

◼️BEATRICE: Mama Is In A Better Place | “Mummy, you were such a gentle and good person. The news of your death came to us as a huge shock. But as a Christian we take solace in the fact that you have gone to be with our Lord Jesus as such in a better place. Mama I will miss you so much. Mama goodnight.”

◼️JUSTINA: Your Journey Was An Inspiration | “My beloved mother, the news of your death came to us as a very big shock. Though death is a debt everyone has to pay someday, but we never expected yours so soon. You battled with the so-called sickness, but still you didn’t survive it…. Oh death, where is thy sting? You snatched away my caring and loving mother from me. Your wisdom and warmth touched the lives of everyone you met. Though we are sad to see you go, I’m also privilege to have shared a life with you. You taught us so many things that we will pass on to our generations to come, especially your respect for the old and young. Your journey was an inspiration to our families and others whose lives you touched. In my next life, you will still be my mother. You took all my sorrows away; you always make sure I’m happy and never sad. The love of my life was your best choice; you welcomed him with all your heart. I love and honour you mom! I am proud to be your daughter. You will forever be in our hearts.”

◼️ALEX: Mama Was So Loving, Caring And Kind | “For the past few months I still can’t believe that my mother is no more. She was so loving, caring and kind. And she always thought about other people. When you are discouraged, she makes you feel encouraged. I miss you Mama. May your soul rest in peace, Amen.”

◼️GRANDCHILDREN: We Will Miss You | “We miss you our dear loving grandmother. You were quite understanding and greatly encouraging. May the Lord Almighty bless your gentle soul and grant you eternal rest in His Bosom in Jesus name, Amen.”
