RUBY JUBILEE: "You Are My King, Crown" — Mrs. Ese Powede Tells Beloved Husband, As Hon. Powede Treats Wife to a Surprise Birthday Party
Mrs. Ese Powede, the beloved wife of Hon. Powede Uyadonghan, a former chairman of oil-rich Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has described her beloved husband as "my King and Crown".
Mrs. Ese, who turns 40 years on Thursday, August 10, 2023, made the confession at a surprise Birthday party organised in her honour by her beloved husband in their residence at Okwokorko, Delta State.
On how she feels being 40 and what she would wished for herself, the celebrant during a chat with PENGlobal Social, remarked: "I feel so happy. In fact, words alone cannot express my feelings right now. I am so happy is all I can say," and added “I wish myself long life, good health, prosperity and more fruitful years ahead.”
The celebrant who was full of emotions also revealed that the caring Hon. Powede will still be her choice of husband if she comes again into this world, an expression that he is a very worthy personality.
"Hon. Powede is my lovely husband; he's my king and my crown. I'm proud to be his wife. He is a very caring man, and in my next life, I'll still choose him as my husband. And I also pray that we will live long to see our children's children," the celebrant prayed.
On the reason of her being treated to such a lavish surprise Birthday party by her husband, Mrs. Ese said, “When I said my husband is caring, what you're seeing is the evidence of it.”
The mother of five children, while commenting on the secret of her joy, said: “My advice to young women is that they should be patient, tolerant and prayerful. That's my counsel to them.”
Earlier, in a brief exhortation during the ceremony, a retired Venerable from the Anglican Diocese, Ven. Victor A. Onosemuode, described the celebrant and her husband as "very good neighbours".
He also reminded all in attendance, while drawing reference from James 4:13-17, that their lives are not their own but belong to God, and as such they should use their lives according to His purpose of doing good.
For the calm looking and soft-spoken Hon. Powede, husband of the celebrant, his wish for both of them to leave a happy long life filled with God's blessings.
