ROYAL BIRTHDAY: We Will Hold Grand Reception in 2026 — Ebenanaowei Vows, as the Benediwei's, Others Surprise Queen of Ogulagha Kingdom

The Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Elder Capt. Dr. King Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan (JP), Agbonu, Torububou 1, who is the Chairman of Delta State Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, has vowed to host a Birthday celebration in 2026, by the grace of the Almighty God, for his beloved wife and Queen of Ogulagha Kingdom, Her Royal Highness, Nurse Timiyan (JP).

His Majesty made the declaration when Chief and Chief (Mrs.) Emaye Benediwei JPs hosted a surprise early morning Birthday showers for the Queen, who added one more year to her age on January 1, 2025 (New Year's Day).

The brief ceremony which held in the early hours at the private residence of the Ebenanaowei in Effurun, was attended by Chief George Timiyan (JP), Chief (Mrs) Benediwei JP, Comrade Jackson Timiyan, among other guests.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, Chief Benediwei, the Amatukpa of Ogulagha Kingdom, lauded the celebrant and her husband (the King) for possessing the hearts of free-giving and said the Queen is a role model, especially as his wife is greatly influenced by the Queen.

Also speaking, Chief (Mrs) Ebikebina Benediwei, described the Royal Family as accommodative and imbued with wisdom, just as she wished them more years in prosperity to celebrate.

On her part, Chief (Mrs) Juliet Benediwei, the Ebe-Benemo-ere of Ogulagha Kingdom, prayed God to guide and protect the celebrant and the Royal Family as they are very good couple that possess a golden heart and have made the people of Ogulagha Kingdom proud.

While thanking her subjects, the Queen expressed her appreciation to the Benediwei's and to all who came to surprise and to celebrate her, while praying for more blessings upon them.

“Today I am very happy. I am happy to see people around me and celebrating my birthday with me. May the good Lord keep them and that we will continue to celebrate each year in Jesus name, Amen.”

Highlights of the ceremony include the cutting of the Birthday cake by the celebrant on company of the Ebenanaowei, and a prayer session for the Queen and the royal family by Pastor Alabi Jane.
