RECEPTION: We Are Both Lucky Having Each Other, Says Mrs Blessing Clem Aruwei As Latest Couple Celebrate Love
It was a celebration of love for Engr. & Mrs. Clem Ebitorufa Oginibo Aruwei as the newly married couple who had their traditional marriage at Otorho, Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State on Friday, August 2, were joined by families, friends, and other well-wishers at the NNPC Junior Staff Club in Warri for their marriage reception party which held on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Dressed in their native attires, the handsome husband with his beautiful wife were ushered into the decorated venue on arrival by well-wishers, moving from one canopy to another to greet their guests before retiring to their special stand for the day's celebration to begin.
The revered Bishop Dr. Godwyn Soroaye JP, with an opening prayer, declared open the ceremony which was officiated by the Comedian MC Abioka.
To the admiration of their guests, the lovely couple cut their elegant marriage cake and proceeded to have their dance together before the receipt of gifts from families and friends who had come to celebrate with them.
With enough foods and drinks to go round, and musical entertainment by highlife musician Peres Aruwei to get the atmosphere lively, various women groups trooped to the open floor with beautiful Ijaw dance steps to celebrate the successful marriage of the couple.
"My husband is ambitious. I see him like he's someone that is ambitious, like he has a plan, he's serious; a caring and a loving husband," Mrs. Blessing Elohor Aruwei told PENGlobal Social when asked what was the attraction to her husband.
Mrs. Aruwei, who studied biochemistry and currently undergoing postgraduate diploma, said "we are both lucky to have each other" while she hinted on how her relationship with her husband began in Warri "in October 2018 before he traveled overseas for training in July 2019 and then returned March 2021" but added that they never lost touch with each other.
She counseled young ladies to be patient and to not despise their humble beginnings saying, "You know girls of nowadays want a man that is already made, have arrived. But no one knows tomorrow and so do not despise your little beginning. I know nowadays they will say i don't want to suffer with a man," she stressed.
On his part, Engr. Aruwei, a Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) trained marine engineer who studied in the Philippines and the Arab Academy in Egypt, cautioned single men to look beyond riches and good looks, but to build their relationship with someone they can grow with and someone who can blend into his family.
"My advice is that single men should marry someone whom they know will be able to manage their assets, their home. Don't just you marry because she is good looking or her father or mom has money, but choose someone that you can grow with, and she must blend into your family because you are marrying someone from another family… For the person to blend into your family is one of the best things, the characteristic a man can look for in a relationship," he counseled.
The marriage reception ceremony comes to a close with group photograph session by the couple alongside their families and friends. And like the popular saying, in another nine months, the celebration continues.
