RECEPTION: Ari and Harry Celebrate Love in Glamorous After-Wedding Party
It was a memorable day for the newly wedded couple, Mr. Patrick and Mrs. Funke Ari, who also happened to be the entrepreneurial founders and chief executive officers of FunPat Catering Services, as the handsome and beautiful couple celebrated their union in a reception party at the BB Hotel in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday, July 29, 2024.
Earlier that day, the couple were joined together in a Solemnization of Holy Matrimony at the St. Peter's Anglican Church in Warri, where families and friends in attendance witnessed the unification of their love.
The beautifully decorated venue of the reception was a beehive of social activities when the newlyweds arrived from the church to begin the celebration of love. But first they had to transit from their English wears of a suit for the groom and a gown for the bride, into traditional attires to rock their reception the African way.
As is the custom with most marriage reception, the handsome and beautiful couple marched in majestically in company of women groups including the bride's maids, who ushered them to their designated posts.
With an opening prayer delivered by Engr. Christopher Mala, followed by a brief opening speech by the chairman of the day, High Chief Clark Gbenewei JP, the ceremony was declared opened.
The ceremony which was coordinated by the popular comedian MC Abioka featured the cutting of the marriage cake by the couple who also graced the floor thereafter to have their first dance together, and the presentation of gifts from families, friends and other wishers.
"We met almost a year ago in Warri," said Mrs. Funke Ari, who hails paternally from Kogi state and maternally from Bayelsa state, in a chat with PENGlobal Social.
On the attraction to her husband, the latest wife and member of the Ari family revealed that the comical nature of her husband won her heart. "It's just nature, natural love that's all. He is fun to be with," the professional caterer whose office is located in Kotokoto by Victor Plaza, Udu, Delta State.
Sharing her thoughts to single ladies, she counseled, "I advise the young ones that are coming up, the single ladies out there, to always be respectful, always have pride as a woman, have your dignity, and always be respectful. Also always be free, be happy and I pray, with God, you meet someone for your heart."
And when asked what she wished for in this new union, she replied, “My wish is to grow old with my husband and be fruitful.”
On his part, the husband Mr. Ari, a native of Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, said his attraction for his latest wife was her obedience, carefulness, being a great cook and possessing beautiful looks.
Like his wife, he shared his thoughts to other unmarried men, "My message to all, though mine is a little bit different because I was once married and became a widower, I think I would advise those out there to be faithful to themselves and not to mess up. Just trust in God and ask him to direct you to get one that will favor you. And to those that are not married before, I advise them to be faithful and put God first in all that they do so that they don't jump into the wrong hands."
