PROFILE: Glory Otutufegha emerges President of Gbaramatu Female Graduates
A youth leader, Mrs. Glory Otutufegha, has emerged as the President of the National Association of Gbaramatu Female Graduates, the umbrella body of female graduates in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The election held at the defunct Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation's office in Warri, on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Mrs. Otutufegha emerged victorious as president among fellow presidential contestants Stella Ekpebide Oghenerume, Popo Christabell Peres, and Fellakumor Ojogun Iyorozide Natasha.
Mrs. Otutufegha hails from Inikorogha, Okerenkoko and Kunukunuma communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom, and she is a graduate of the Benson Idahosa University (BIU), Benin City, Edo State, graduating with a B.A. in International Studies and Diplomacy (2018). She also holds a diploma in Law (2013) from BIU.
On previous leadership, she has been occupying the position of Vice President in the Gbaramatu female graduate forum and a former clan representative in the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) and a woman leader in Jones Creek Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom.
She is a member of the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS) and the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC), as well as the socialite organisation, Warri Beke Group of Friends.
Mrs. Otutufegha is a staff of the Nigerian Maritime University (NMU) Okerenkoko in Gbaramatu Kingdom under the department of Transportation and Logistics.
She is married to Barrister David Otutufegha and the union is blessed with a twin (two boys).
As incoming President of the Gbaramatu female graduate forum, she will take over from the outgoing President of the association, Barr. Iyoroebi Itima Kenge, and will serve a tenure of three years after the swearing-in ceremony by December 2024.
